After Warrior?

aaronoaarono Member Posts: 110

I've played my current warrior up to level 23, and while I do like him I wish to get a character with more abilities.

If I liked warrior, but sometimes how he felt like his strength was in his gear what would be a decent class that would fit my forte?

Please recommend shaman as a last resort.

well you want a class with alot of skills....... thats every class in the game. if you want a class thats isnt so dependant on gear i guess you could go with a mage since their strength comes from magic not gear.

im not over powered! look it took me 10 minutes to kill that guy

I played my warrior to lvl 57 until I went horde and now have an undead rouge almost lvl 40, I think the rouge is alot more fun than a warrior. I would suggest a rouge or a hunter to switch it up a bit. But thats just my opinion.

The warrior is certainly the most gear dependant class and that can make 'em expensive to maintain. I would suggest a druid as they have a huge wealth of options, the only downside being that you're limited to playing a Night Elf or a Tauren. Druids can tank, use stealth and heal and they seem to have more respect in PvP than the rogue or paladin which are considered - probably unfairly - to be a bit "cheap".

U need hybrid, and that's shaman or a druid. I suggest u take shaman atm, since druids aren't real hybrids until 1.8 patch.

Also, don't listen to Mandolin, druids usually take the healer role in groups, but in AV or WSG they do everything, depending on the situation.

Oh, I noticed "suggest shaman as last".

Druids are the slowest lvl'ers in the whole game actually, so I suggest you to lvl your warrior and get gold until 1.8 patch comes out, that'll be in mid or late October I think.

So just get as much as cash as possible to save up for my next class and get him ready for the next patch?

I think I will try Druid next. They seem to have a bit of everything.

I would also say go for a Rogue, like myself. They are a very fun class to play, especially at higher levels.

    1.  Classes don't really come into their own until 40+.  If you are judging the warrior by his abilities at 23 you really aren't giving the class a good chance to show itself.

    2.  Warriors are the most gear dependant class in the game.  Thats bad because it makes him a little hard/expensive to level up.  But its a good thing because when you get to 60 most of the other classes level off and don't really get much stronger.  Sure mages get more mana, maybe a little better +dmg gear, etc, but a poorly equiped mage isn't that much worse off than a well equiped lvl 60 mage.  Warriors on the other hand continually get better gear that actually affects how good they are.  A level 60 warrior in all green armor isn't much to contend with, but a level 60 warrior in tier 2 epic gear is a meat grinding machine that is a serious force on the battle field.

But if equipment isn't your thing, I'd suggest a cloth class, warlock, mage, or priest.  And of course a naked level 60 rogue with starter weapons is a fearsome site (google roguecraft and you'll see what I mean).

    go hunter...

they are extremely fun and with the new patch, with pet abilities, they are very enjoyable.

One thing I didn't like about warrior is that fact that you're expected to be a damage sponge. So maybe rogue might be my thing, I just wish it wasn't so overplayed.
