Is there gonna be an open beta for everyone after the end of BWE at 22 July? I dont think not, because after that we have like 1 month before the release

Arenanet said there is not going to be a open beta, because beta in their eyes is when the game is not ready to the public, there might be a open demo event.
Yea, I don't see an "open beta" happening. But maybe some kind of "open event" before release to spike interest in the game with people that have not bought it, I think would be a great idea. Like an Open Pre-Game Event Weekend or something.
This would also be a great way to really stress the servers
I don't plan on playing this, but I like their style. They treated Beta for what it is supposed to be, what it used to be. Not a glorified "get you hooked on our game" open 'beta'.
If they have already done their stress-tests via BWE's, then there's no reason for one.
It's not that I'm not a fan.. I still have my Collector's Edition from the first GW. Complete with the headset it came with.

Anyway, that's cool.
What? Dude, BWE, Open beta, whatever. There's no NDA on them. It's almost the exact same. Also, it's always used mostly for stress testing anyway. That's these "opened betas" are for, marketing and stress testing.

The beta are closed, because you can't enter then without buying the game or getting a key, and no they are using the beta's for feedback on the game and using the stress test to test the servers. It's a pretty crappy marketing to advertise to the people who already bought your game.
There will not be one. They've said openly that the 3rd and LAST Beta Weekend even will happen on July 20th-22nd, that's it. Then early access on August 25th.
They might hand out more beta keys to sites to distribute however they wish, which doubles as a way to promote the game, but I don't think they will have an open beta for everybody to join.
Its a B2P game, so i dont see any reason for an open beta... The game is good enough to sell by mouth to mouth addvertisement.
There might be free trials a few months after release tough
All the more reason for there to be one, B2P relies more on box sales than any other model so an aggressive marketing campaign would make sense.
I don't know, nor really care, if they will have an open for all look at the game before it goes live but if they do i imagine it'll only be for a day or two. I'm almost glad that what i've seen so far has been limited as i'm usualy only a month off being burnt out by the time a game goes retail. These few and far between BWE's are a godsend.
I think GW1 did hold a small open beta just before release. If memory serves me correctly it was only one weekend of open beta prior to that it was invite only
It's possible that they will open a beta to everyone who applied for a beta position earlier. Not likely but possible.
I do hope they open it up for everyone just for one final surprise before launch.
Play for fun. Play to win. Play for perfection. Play with friends. Play in another world. Why do you play?

Exactly the opposite... Since it's B2P game it relies on sold boxes (as you said)... But then offering people the chance to try the game without buying it is just loosing the cash
Exactly as Bachus said, I don't see a reason for an open beta in a B2P games... And so far I never seen a B2P game having an open beta.

Diablo 3... and I'm glad they did it so I changed my mind and didn't buy the game. at least for a while.

In a BtP game with a server model wants to sell as much boxes over 12 months, and not on day 1, selling all boxes on day 1 will just get you overpopulated servers, that fall empty after a few months. The best thing for an MMO is a graduate line of sales ( as we saw wit MMOs like Eq, DaoC and WoW) So having open beta would be counterproductive, and thats why there will be free trials from the moment sales start declining somewhat.
Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)
As best i can gather anet likely will not be offering a public open beta weekend prior to release..
And i cant really fault them for it being that this game already has a huge following and is worth every penny..
It would get bigger with a open beta. Wouldn't it? This is one of the things that has bothered me about the run up to this game. 99% of the people who have played had bought the game. Give me a weekend to see if I like it.

I personally believe that this upcoming BWE will see a large number of beta key give-aways going on. Just my opinion, but keep your eyes open.

There might be an open stress test, but most likely not. A stress test would be similar to the ones we already have had.

My theme song.

They could do an early release for those who pre-puchased. SWTOR did that for pre-orders by a few days.
There will not be one. They've said openly that the 3rd and LAST Beta Weekend even will happen on July 20th-22nd, that's it. Then early access on August 25th.
All those who Pre-Purchased getting is BWE #3 and a 3-day head start. People who Pre-Order get a 1-day head start.
This game dosen't need an open beta for any reason.
Nope, no open beta. I had thought the same thing, but ANet is only conducting three Betaweekend events. The last this month.
Then! Game on in Aug!
Yes but can 3 beta weekends (+day stress test that I knew about) hammer all post launch issues and bugs? I don't think so but who knows.
They might hand out more beta keys to sites to distribute however they wish, which doubles as a way to promote the game, but I don't think they will have an open beta for everybody to join.
