Kyleran: "Now there's the real trick, learning to accept and enjoy a game for what
it offers rather than pass on what might be a great playing experience
because it lacks a few features you prefer."
John Henry Newman: "A man would do nothing if he waited until he could do it so well that no one could find fault."
FreddyNoNose: "A good game needs no defense; a bad game has no defense." "Easily digested content is just as easily forgotten."
LacedOpium: "So the question that begs to be asked is, if you are not interested in
the game mechanics that define the MMORPG genre, then why are you
playing an MMORPG?"
I thought we basically knew already that it was NCSoft that was going to publish it in Europe and US .
We did know this. This isn't news. Even if you call it a "confirmation" tihs really isn't new. At least you can tell the new comers to aa from the oldtimers.

The oldtimers are assholes?
Can't speak for other old timers, but I have been one most of my life.

Nice one didnt see the gamescom part , will be at gamescom again this year since its only like 1 hour drive from here lets hope we see something from archeage their.
I wonder if they will restrict the American beta to American IPs only, or if they will allow international IPs...
In the russian interview he stated that the game won't be restricted to region...but COUNTRY. I hope they loosen this before deciding on EU/US versions as I want to play with a friend in EU.
While I am looking forward to AA I seriously doubt it will be hugely popular in the US. It doesn't have the mass appeal of WoW nor do I think it will get the massive advertising required. It won't coddle it's users like the newer MMOs do. Even if they remove the heaviest PvP elements it still will be a niche game (which I don't mind).

Yeah.
I don't even want it to to have mass appeal. Succesful? Sure. Profitable? Sure. Big mass appeal and catering to WoW masses? Hell no.
As a trader I would love for it to have mass appeal. I just hope it isn't changed to much to try and get it. And the masses won't like it without the hold your hand feel of other games.

Which is ironic since then when they reach max level and end game, they complain there's nothing to do. The West is idiotic.

The "one" what? Oh, thank for the link. I actually just read it myself. Good to know.
We have known this was coming to America for a long time if you were paying complete attention.

I guess it was just a matter of time before they confirmed it, given the excitement about the game in the West, but it's nice to hear nonetheless.
Should be interesting to see which publisher they go with.
Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned.

Most all of knew this game was coming to the west, I was just amazed at the morons who claimed this game was not coming to the west.
Waiting for:EQ-Next, ArcheAge (not so much anymore)
Now Playing: N/A
Worst MMO: FFXIV
Favorite MMO: FFXI
Ah good. Even if it is just confirmation, that' still a nice thing to read. Been keeping an eye on this one!
Enter a whole new realm of challenge and adventure.
Do you ever make any sense?
I wonder if they will restrict the American beta to American IPs only, or if they will allow international IPs...
Did you actually read the interview? He point blank said he doesn't have a deal with NCSoft.
And i'll believe it's coming to US when there's a english beta for it, not before. Even signed contracts don't always produce games beyond alpha.

William just posted a new article from his interview at E3.

It seems the release date for South Korea will be 4th quarter 2012. N.A. can expect a release 4th quarter 2013 or 1st quarter 2014.
End of 2013? I can only hope GW2 and DOTA 2 will keep me interested until then.
