  Do they both have free trials (I know EQ2 does).  If they both do, then you can just try each one and see which you like better.

  If you have a top of the line system (P3, 128meg gfx card and at least 1 gig of RAM) go with EQ2, the graphics are like nothing you have ever seen before...  If not, go to WoW, not only is it not as system intensive, but it is also a MMO on training wheels if this is your first time in this genre...
