There has been nearly universal agreement that the story and the missions in The Secret World are simply awesome. In The List today, we take a look at what we think five of the best are and why we think so. Check it out to see if you agree!
Now I’ve only had about 20 hours (only, ha!) to enjoy Funcom’s The Secret World since it launched into head-start mode back on June 29th. But in that time, I’ve scoured every corner of Kingsmouth, and begun my descent into Hell in the Savage Coast. So while I’m not nearly done with all of the content the game has to offer, the quality of the missions keeps making my jaw drop. Very few are of the “go here, kill this” variety, and more often than not I’m spending my time solving riddles, mysteries, and puzzles that no other MMO has had the juevos to attempt. I won’t go into spoiler territory, other than minor details on the story, but I wanted to share with you all five of my favorite missions so far in The Secret World. Share your own below, but remember: NO SPOILERS! Your comments will be deleted if they give away solutions.

Three words; The Black House.
I don't want to give anything away, so all I'll say is that it's the first time a house has ever killed me in a video game...
I made my girlfriend put on the head phones when doing the Black House. She didn't like it. She got scared. (She likes watching horror movies).
My favourite so far is as the author of the article says, The League of Monster Slayers. The mood is just so good throughout the whole mission. It just touched something in me from when I was a kid running around in the forrest.
screen shot for "something wicked is a spoiler" i spend ages trying to get in the jail. Screenshot kind of gives it away.

I loved following the siren's song, and the whole Franklin Mansion thing had me browsing and finding some cool inspirations used.
The Kingsmouth Code was difficult but yet satisfying when you finally figure it out. Just goes to show that the mmo genre need sto step away from go kill and go fetch quests.
Grim Dawn, the next great action rpg!

As above "The Black House" is amazing, it's indeed a great location.
And those 5 you posted are probably some of the weakest, you have SO much better to come, thought Kingsmouth code is pretty awesome
But wait till you see the end fo the first storyline, and the stuff in egypt.
Explorer 73% Achiever 53% Socializer 53% Killer 20%
Gravity is another good one, in fact all those guys quests, fighting the bogeyman, riding the roller casters etc..
Draugnet for chucking players in the deep end in the newb zone.
The whole main quest line
The one with the magic mushrooms, for the visual effect and hitting you with a timer.
Someting Wicked quest line has been fixed as of todays patch..
Have to agree with your choices, but five is just... to few.
The haunted amusement park series, which culminates in "Gravity" ... so good.
Talk is cheap. That's because Supply exceeds Demand.
BOOYAKA!
Now this sounds like something I will look forward to doing. I can't get it said enough that the way the questing is broken up into quite different types of quests really helps me enjoy the game. Instead of feeling I am on a thredmill, it feels like I can select the quests according to how I want to play that particular day. (I don't play enough to get more than 2-5 main missions done in a day)
I wish all mmo's had quests like TSW does
I liked Angels and Demons in egypt, the computer code was SO satisfying to figure out on my own.
Also the number series in the Blue Mountain investigation, I really had to wrack my brain on, I sadly, needed help on 2 of them >_<.
And the investigation Gravity, took me so long before I realized i was in the wrong initial place >_<.
I love the quests here, probably more than any other game, and the voice acting is FAR above expectations.

One of the great things about that faction mission is that it's different for each faction, yet it's the same mission.. just from different points of view. Someone put it together on the main forums and it's pretty amazing how complex it actually is when you factor in everyone there.
My favorite part about the League of Monster Slayers is the last piece of Lore that talks about the current state of the club. It really ties into how well thought out and interconnected the game is.
Also that Something Wicked screenshot is a major spoiler...
For those that loved League of Monster Slayers, did you do the side quest? Used the code in the last message you read at the god cave?
No?
Tsk, tsk, you need to explore more :P
No spoilers, it is easy, if you think as a child. But the battles in it are THOUGH!
This
The amusement park has been by far my favorite content part of the game.
Someone made a 20 minute loop of Siren Song (it's on youtube). I play it a lot while I'm running around. As to the Franklin Mansion: I love that place. I sit on the couch when I need to go afk
*SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER* I know it was mentioned by someone else but that is a truly horrible way to sneak a spoiler in about Something Wicked. I still remember me solving it was someone saying "who are you trying to learn about" that gave me the clue I needed to get there. Screenshot is evil.
The first faction mission blew me away, I was really hoping you'd mention it. I've never been so on edge in a game before. So creepy and awesome!
wow i didnt know this game is this awesome... must...playyy.. ugh
So What Now?
Please change the screenshot for Something Wicked. As mentioned, it's a major spoiler, and I'd hate for someone else to be deprived of the sense of accomplishment I got when I figured it out on my own.
Just started Savage Coast and got the Monster Slayers quest, so I'll be tackling it a bit later tonight. Can't wait!
Black House was AWESOME. The quest in this game are off the charts awesome. What was the last MMO where we where talking about the quest. The quest are like seperate games with insane story lines
