MW3, Guild Wars, and occasionally Aion.... Because nothing reminds me more of why i can't wait for the new batch of games to be released then endless grind. (I loved Aion, but i just am not feeling it anymore.)
I'm sorry but the only one saying anything about the second coming is you. Fans of a game accept its flaws and strengths.
I've been spending my gaming time on Diablo 3, but I think I'm about done with it. I used to say it was a good game with problems, but now I say it's a bad game with good elements, and the reason people are still playing it is because they've been conditioned to put up with lousy game play, particularly lousy controls. D3's control mechanics are the seriously broken part, and that's why I say it's a bad game. Yeah, you can work around it, but me - I'd like to get every class to 60, and a Hardcore to 60, because I'm the kind of guy that likes to do those things, but I think it's just time to give up on it.
I've actually been thinking about Battlefield 3. It's not usually the kind of game I play, and I think maybe that's a good thing right now. A couple months of BF3, Borderlands 2 will be out (Sept. 18) and I'll be golden for quite some time after that.
Borderland 2 - every sign I've seen says it is going to be so sweet, everything BL1 could have been if the devs had more time and money. I remember BL1 got a 5/5 from X-Play. I'd have given it a 3.5/5 after my first playthrough, but when I picked it up a few months later and got the re-playablity factor, I saw it's potential. I'm as sure as I can be that BLT (Borderlands Two) will be a 5/5 game in my book, and an even better 5/5 than BL1.
And, being a PC guy I'm super-stoked that they are making a real PC version of BLT; one that will take advantage the latest video cards. BL1 wasn't that great to look at, especially since it was a console port, but BLT looks gorgeous.
What I think is Gearbox is on the rise. They still have their heart, from CEO and president Randy Pitchford on down, if you get a chance watch a video of him talking about BLT, you'll see what I mean. I think Blizzard has lost theirs, and a lot of the bigger companies have. I'll be looking at future Gearbox games for sure.
(Haha this has kinda turned into a cheering session for Borderlands and Gearbox - no, I don't own stock in the company or work for them.)
Have played: Everquest, Asheron's Call, Horizons, Everquest2, World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings Online, Warhammer, Age of Conan, Darkfall
I've been waiting so long for games to come out it's crazy. I'm tired of playing Sims 2 waiting and waiting and waiting. Everyone says, "Go read a book." I'm like, "I read them all already." They're like, "Play a new game." I'm like, "I played them all already." They're like, "Go do sports." I'm like, "It's over 100 degrees out there and I'm a polar bear." I guess I'll visit the weight room more.
Looking forward to:
Elder Scrolls Online
Dragon's Prophet
ArcheAge
I wanted to do The Secret World but it looks to expensive. If I have to spend I'm saving it for Elder Scrolls Online.
Unreal in coop RPG mode. GF and I beat the first game, now we're into the expansion pack. Amazing how good it looks for as old as it is. Decent fun too.
