Tanks...
I've read on a few Planetside fansites that the driver of the Prowler (Terran Republic tank) will also control the main turret and coaxial weapon, with the passenger controlling a different weapon. Has anyone read if the Vanguard will have a similar setup, with the driver also controlling the main turret weapons? It's an interesting change, since the original (unless they changed it after I played) didn't give the drivers such control. Except for the Mag Rider with its forward facing weapon and the one-man lightning.

every tank now has driver also controling the main gun, second player in a tank controlls the AA turret from what i saw in TB E3 streams on youtube, some ppl that played Planetside would like to have the driver just drive and a second person to actually shoot those guns ... maybe they will add something like that with certs but untill that time u will drive and gun at the same time
Interesting. I was never much of a tanker in the original, do Planetside veterans prefer to do only steering or shooting to let them focus completely on the task?
well i only spoke to a few on different sites, forums and some would like that so they be more focused on the task at hand ... like driving through the harsh environment and not crash into things all the time cause they are shooting someone and dont look where they go

I heard somewhere there was joystick support for aircraft..
cant see there being gamepad support for ground play, you cant get the speed and accuracy of a mouse/keyboard ( which is what most people will have )

A: Yes. I got a pretty slick Logitech G940 force feedback setup with rudders and a thrust stick the other day, it's a lot of fun to fly with.
As for tanks, I'm glad the driver will control the main weapon. That's the sole reason I drove a lightning instead of the other tanks. So that I could drive and gun. I'm glad they made this change.

Maybe you can choose when setting up your vehicle what passenger controls which part of the vehicle, so the drivists and the drive-and-gunnists bot have their thing.
