Tera, to spice things up.

A lot of people have good and bad things to say about tera and i can more less agree/disagree with a lot of them. A couple of things people argues about is lack of content, grind fest, no end game, etc. So i was thinking, because of their huge main cities and vast fields, they can easily create an arena for a tournament for different levels (lvl 20-25, 25-30- so on). The top tier competitors can go into a world vs world, and the prizes can be gear, mounts, money, or whatever they want to put up.

Now im only a 47 warrior (Freeholds) and i havent made my way up there yet but the tournament can be Vanarch made for their ruling land where they can make their own prizes, or a Server based Tournment thats held in the main cities to get the top tier competitors to fight in a world to world (server to server) tournament. Im sure you get what im saying.

This would interest me a lot and definitly spice things up in Tera. What do you think?

don't they have this planned in yet?

I think they need to overhaul the questing system myself, it's the most boring of any game I've played.

I agree that the questing is a bit boring, but isnt that what they tried to do by adding BAMs? get into parties and kill them wretched BAMs lol

A tournament that they can hold is a great way to lessen the boredom from quests and another reason for people to really craft for gear, enchant items to +9, and use what Tera has to offer. People at 60 gets bored because theres no end game and their only real challenge is becoming a Vanarch.

    And for the PVE crowd?

Btw Tera is not really good for tournaments... it's really gear based and not an e-sport.

If all you wanted was some tournamente even the community could have organized some.

Tera doesn't need some minor feature to "spice things up".... it needs a complete rework from scratch.

Let alone the classic "lack of endgame" (that its half true and half a tradition to complain about that in mmorpgs) but RNG is a disaster, owpvp is a disaster, the nexus is a disaster, the political system is a disaster etc.

It's extremely funny to read old threads from earlier this year.

PvE crowd can have a solo/group ranking system for points to earn higher gear. instead of going through instances that would rather give items to classes that are not in the group, they can invest their time in an arena or a race to kill certain amount of BAMs in a continent or the whole world (in respect to their levels of corse).

You may think the game needs a whole rework from scratch but i dont. Its a great game with its cons, it can use some improvements of corse but its not that bad. All im saying is that by adding some features, it may give people the incentive to actually do more other than complain about questing, lack of endgame. You race to lvl 60 and of  corse you'll get bored, especially if you have to go back to beginners area to gather or complete an achievement.

    Its just an idea.

There was a Death Match 5v5 Competition in Valley of Titans. It was sponsored by five different guilds. I believe the event went well.

What was the prize other than bragging rights?

I believe there was a total of 30k gold in prize money. That money was split between the winners (1st place getting the most).

    Holy fudge 30k?

That's the equivalent of a year and a half of sub.

Yesterday was doing rep dailies on Zul Fakar fortress are there was a GvG going on.  It was pretty appropriate since the zone looked like a post apocalyptic battlefield.  But for a PvE server it was epic to watch like 50-70 duking it out with monsters all around.  No idea if there was a reward for that one but it was good enough for me as spectator sport.

I believe the guilds that sponsored the event were all Vanarchs at some time so that's where the tax money went to.

There's always people trying to kill eachother outside the gates of ZF in Valley of Titans.
