They make you sign a virtual message saying you are 18 and the top end of players is nearing 40.

In actuality most players are between 16-35 and the amounts you put are too specific.

Guessing the people who actually have time to play the most are between 16-21 though.

Overehere in Holland there are for example many people in early retirement playing..

And many of the people who have lost their jobs in the crisis have lots of time on their hands to play MMO´s.  Which is actually the cheepest form of entertainment for them.

People between 16 and 21 should have the least time to play, as they should be studying and socialising in the few hours they are not studying.

lol thats bogus. Highschool, at least in America does not require one tiddly bit of homework to do and you'll do fine in school, so 16-18 group actually have the most free time. College is another thing but many don't even get to there so...

Really? no wonder why your education system is a laughing stock.

no, that would the be education system in the UK.. we've been top of the laughing stock league for at least 5 years now, the american one is just copying us image

lol, what school did you go to? My high school not only required a lot of home work when I went but from what I understand it currently assigns quite a lot of home work to students.

Seriously 8 years ago when I was in highschool I did so much homework. My fingers were numb at the end of the day. I have a lot more free time now. Work 2 16 hour shifts and 1 8 hour shift a week with 4 days off. I started Security after I got out of the army I don't really have to do anything and the hours are great.

Just like the Army thou Your Experience May Differ Bassed on MOS and Assignment.

What's interesting to notice is that the 30+ crowd is equal to the 1-30 one.

    30+: 50.4%

    1-20: 49.6%

In my opinion, one becomes "mature" when he leaves the parent's basement and protection and starts to earn his own money and pay his own bills and taxes. Before that, one doesn't have a clue about what being mature means. No offense meant by the way, it's just that there are things which must be experienced to understand fully.

That has nothing to do with social behavior. a 13 year old can behave very nicely, while a 50 year old can be totally antisocial. This said, younger people (adolescents) in general are more socially disruptive than adults, social behavior is also something most learn with age. We were all adolescents, we know how it is... ;-)

I just graduated last year, and let me tell you, I had homework every dang day, btw it was an American school, then again it was also run by the DOD so that does play a factor as-well I guess.

ok.. maybe I was overgeneralizing but to my knowledge I did not know one highschool in my city that had homework/assignments worth more then 10% of overall mark, which was the whole point of not doing homework since it did not affect your mark by any major amount and you could still do "fine".

Interesting followup polls might go something like this ---

How old do you act when you play an MMO game? (You must be honest).

    1 - 2 years

    other

How old do you perceive others to be in the MMO games that you play?

    1 - 2 years

    other

I'm one of the 2% from 51 to 60 as I'm 55 and play as I do stuff in real life, so it's all the norm to me. However my Dad who is 72 still plays MMO's too, he has five games which he plays daily so he don't get bored. Since he lost my Mum due to cancer it's his way of staying connected to the world as he's to old to be out chasing chics so It's his way of socialising and keeping his mind active.
