I am looking for a f2p mmorpg that will have big playerbase and that will be good.i think the best f2p games i have insert them in the poll but if i forgot something just tell it.
Don't pick DDO. A new player will have a rough time and to really play the game you will need to shell out cash for much of the content. People whill chime in saying that you can buy packs with Turbine Points earned through favor but you really can't unless your a VIP for a while with access to all the quests and then converting over to Premium after you have a couple thousand Turbine Points saved up. And with each new adventure pack you have to grind out a toon's new life if you TRed or roll a new toon to grind out all the favor to earn the TP to buy the new content.
Shell out a lil cash and go for a good game that is well designed rather than trying to save a few bucks and go for a craptacular game.
Bottom line: If you are going into a new game with the mindset of "I don't want to pay a dime to play this game", your best bet is Aion.
If you don't mind paying for access to new areas once you've enjoyed the core gameplay, consider DDO and LotRO. It's almost necessary to shell out cash to advance, but you might enjoy what you get.
If you want more action-oriented gameplay, go with Dragon Nest, DCUO, or Vindictus.
It's sort of hard to suggest what's good without knowing what you like. I'd say LOTRO for PVE and Aion for PVP.
Ken Fisher - Semi retired old fart Network Administrator, now working in Network Security. I don't Forum PVP. If you feel I've attacked you, it was probably by accident. When I don't understand, I ask. Such is not intended as criticism.
I would have to go for Dragon Nest, despite my slight dislike over mass instances, the combat is just plain fun. As are the classes. You couldn't really go wrong giving it a go.
You can play Aion pretty cheap if you want. However if you want to spend a little $ I would go Lotro, especially for the pve experience.Steam has an Lotro starter pack for $30,you get 3 quest packs and a mount for all your characters plus a token for +25% xp.This pack has been on sale a couple times for $15,it's a good deal at $30 and a great deal at $15.
I know people in DDO that spend over $80 a month in the item store. When starting the game they right away suggested purchasing experience buff tokens and potion packages. Looking for a F2P game is tough and that list though strong will have a lot of let downs once you play through them. I've played them all and am still not satisfied. I'm playing TSW until GW2 comes out. Then I'll still be playing both. GW2 probably has the best bang for the buck if you're interested in paying once to play.

And lol @ EQ2.
aww no votes for eq :P
maybe if it was more of a f2p and less of a trial... )
voted first choice to see results!
(just pointing out if it seems a little skewed toward the first option that is possibly why, there was no show me the results option)

^ What he said. All of the other games are pretty bad. Dragon's Nest isn't even open world...

But if your going to be spending any money at all in a cash shop for more content just shell out $60 now for gw2 and forget about it.
Lotro or Aion.
