Hey guys, i can't remember if i've asked this question or if I asked this question correctly last time. With the PVE world be like WOW? as in you can play against the environment but also encounter player enemies too. Or is the game going to be like LOTRO where you can only go against the environment and never encounter ememies in PVE?
What is the server selection like? is there PVE & PVP servers?
I've heard there is a WvWvW which sound cool.
I just need somone to clear up my thoughts on my question as simple as possible.

There are no PvE and PvP servers, just servers. PvE is PvE, PvP is structured teams or the World vs World. They don't collide.

Actually, you do get PvE events in W v W, but there's no PvP in the PvE part of the game.

In other words, there is no open world PvP.
All takes place in the WvW zone or in the smaller group scenarios you can queue up for.
1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.
2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.
3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.
Just no....weapon system which u have to master to know when where and what weapon to use depending on situations + dodge, random events everywhere, where u get in groups without partying (encourages SOCIALIZATION). Rewards everywhere for everything u do...
..pve is no where close to WoW..it may look similar as in characters have bows swords and staffs, but in reality it's technically a lot more advanced.
And that combined with pure sPvP and wvw easy transitioning.
Nice. So you can PVE around, encounter dynamic events which can change and also if you choose; enter PVP WvWvW?
This game isn't like WoW. It's about as far from WoW as you can get, while still being a Theme Park MMORPG.
The world is PvE only, there is no PvP in the world. The PvP zone is kind of like Wintergrasp, except it's persistent, and it's not on a timer. It also seems to work well with the way people play, which means running around in a big zerg. People are just going to do that, no matter what. They've set things up so that this can be useful. Then the people that don't want to zerg can repair the walls and man the siege weapons.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
