Was it just me or was the performance this weekend much much better then the one's before? The game play was so smooth. Even combat felt smoother. First couple of weekends i had a ton of lag and i was a bit worried, but they seem to have worked out those bugs.

Although the gameplay was very smooth, it was the most 'unstable' BWE for me, crashing to desktop 3 times. It wasn't a huge issue - just did the little bug report for the crash and kept playing.
BOYCOTTING EA / ORIGIN going forward.
This was my experience this weekend as well. Major lag issues in WvW the whole weekend and it wasn't just me, so I know it was server side. I'm sure they'll get it sorted for launch.
For me without doubts a better performance, the game was smoother, but i didnt have many issues in previous BWEs either.
Only issue i had, that i didnt have in previous BWEs, was the sPvP being down for a couple times. I was at underworld server, im not sure if it only hapenned on this server.
I can't compare my experience to previous beta weekends, as this was my first, however I can say that on my ancient machine I had horrible performance Friday night. But by Saturday morning I was able to turn it up to Balanced and it played out perfectly from that point forward. Smooth and looked awesome for being on balanced. I ended up very impressed with the performance.
BWE 1 and 2 where way smoother, but not this one, from insane lag to computer freezing only on GW2 so many crap, i wasnt able to play sunday because of it.
I dont really mind all the problems since it was just beta.
As others have said, it was overall a better performance for me except that I had a couple of client crashes this time around. Never had that before. I submitted the bug reports and didn't have any more crashes after the second one (Saturday afternoon). ...and yes I did play Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon/evening (for those who might have said it didn't crash because I didn't play :P)
You want me to pay to play a game I already paid for???
Be afraid.....The dragons are HERE!
For me performance was of the charts. Not even a single FPS-dip with 30+ people spamming spells in a DE with a zerg of mobs. And i ran it on highest possible settings.
Each time I chose medium-high res, my pc freezed.
Still dont know if its my problem or not. Guess in a month I will find the answer.
Anet said the WvWvW servers were all maxing out at 100% cpu usage so they turned the player cap down to half and seemed to be alot more stable after the fact. Im running a GTX 260 and adding the command "-umbra gpu" to the .exe command line gave me about 20 more fps in pvp but pve content has always been smooth on high settings unless i get more than like 15-20 peeps on screen.
Was as good as the other weekends, besides one brief period where my framerate crashed through the floor. Restarting the app didn't fix it, nothing I tried worked until I rebooted... reboot fixed it. Not sure what it was as no other programs were affected, all temperatures were normal in the case/cpu/cards/etc, no errors in event viewer, no abnormal resource usage, etc.
I did find a repeatable crash and bug reported it... Was kind of nice to come up with a contribution. Its so hard to find any legitimate bugs in a "beta" this smooth.
My wife and I had terrible problems in BWE2 with crashing to desktop. We each crashed 8-10 times over that weekend. This weekend though it was rock solid. I only had to restart once because I started getting some delays in game motion (graphics lag or whatever), but it ran smoothly otherwise. Zero crashes to desktop.
This was the best weekend for me.
Game was so smooth , previous ones i had lag , crash to dekstop , all the common beta problems.
This weekend zero issues and client seemed much much better.
Yep, pretty damn smooth for me. Couple of instances of lag and just a couple of crashes - fine, considering my pc is long past it's best before date. The entire weekends beta was considerably smoother than just one night of playing TSW - but again, I'm sure my pc is the culprit for my TSW woes too.
Overall performance was very smooth at "recomended" sttings for my PC.
If i maxed the settings i would only lose 10fps or so,that´s why i believe the game is not fully optimized yet.
I guess at release or even later on it will run pretty smooth in most Pcs,
and i hope i can play it at high or max settings on my:
Dual Core Quad (4 processors) 2.33Mhz
Nvidia GTX260
4GB Ram
on windows Vista home edit
BTW: I had around 5-6 crashes during BWE3. Hope they fix that too
Incredibly smooth even the last event. Great servers! (Turbine could learn from these guys). No crashes at all and only a little lag at the very start of the final event.
Freshly upgraded computer (560TI video card, I5 2400 processor, 8 gigs of RAM, Windows 7 64 bits), the game was very smooth, didn't have slowdown even in the biggest WvW battles (and let me tell you, some of those battles were VERY intense).
What can men do against such reckless hate?
Bit of both. I played pretty smooth once I turned off reflections and v-sync, but my friend kept crashing and I heard of others crashing a lot, too. I never crashed. Overall it's an improvement, but it seems some people are still having issues.

I've got the same setup altough with a I5 3570 Most of the time fps is fine never really had an issue with many players but some certain areas in certain zones are total hogs going from 60 (Vsynced) to 20-30 for no apparent reason.
To me it was kind of weird. I had the crashes and what have you but for lag my problems wwere weird. In mass PvE events like during the slaughter that was the fire ele I had zero lag my FPS was sitting about 50ish, during WvW with the same amount of people around I would get lag. I hope they fix it, I loved my thief but during big battles melee was near impossible.
All Murlocs must die horrible, painful, bloody deaths!
Yep, their biggest changes in the BWE were with WwW. It should be better at launch, about comparable to how big a difference PVE performance changed between last BWE and this one. I'm glad they pushed the WwW to get these problems out now, so that they can fix them for launch and not have to worry about it happening then!
(PS, the 100% cpu problem and many other lag issues will be solved when they optimize for launch in a week or so. Notice it is a DX10 and 9 game, but we have only gotten to play DX9 so far I am impressed with how they have treated every BWE as a BETA, ie testing there configs, revamping, trying different things, stressing the servers, etc. )
Add me to the list for this.
The gameplay was silky smooth. No problems at all. I have a VERY mediocre computer and had previously been playing on balanced settings with no probs and was quite happy with that. This weekend I was able to turn it all the way up ans still get ~30fps. After a couple of big DEs with lots of Ele's firing stuff off and in WvW keep battles I got slowdown so I turned it down a notch and it was all good again.
HOWEVER, I had 4 or 5 Crash To Desktops during the course of the weekend which was quite offputting, and had a WvW match reset itself half way through!?!? In BWE2 I had no crashes at all.
Thats what this BWE was for though right, they got their servers hammered due to the 100s of thousands of beta keys they gave out, and since chars were reset everyone was creating Asura/Sylvari so those zones were getting hammered too(which s what I think Anet wanted).
It was basically a Launch Rehearsal. Now they know what they gotta tweak for launch. They already released several new builds during the course of the weekend which fixed a lot of issues, like the WvW lag
Cluck Cluck, Gibber Gibber, My Old Mans A Mushroom
PvE was smoother, PvP kept crashing and going down though. Hopefully they sort that out before launch.
Oh, also it would be nice if you could go into PvP with friends rather than randoms.
The overall performance hasn't changed for me from Beta weekend to Beta weekend, I've enjoyed very good performance all along with only a few exceptions. Saturday (I think, the weekend is now kind of one big blur) the Sylvari starting area was unplayable, massive lag that everyone was commenting on in chat. It wasn't really a surprise since they reduced the number of servers while I'm sure the number of players since weekend one was way up. Took it in stride and went to another area where I had no lag.
Had one crash to desktop, but upon restarting there was a very quick game update and I got right back in with no problem, my wife sitting right next to me on an almost identical machine had no issues.
I've played games that six months post launch weren't as stable as GW2 in Beta, the ArenaNet guys and gals have truly done a fine job.
