So it's not a big deal, but I thought it was funny. I sold 1m gold for $2.50, take out fees and you end up with $1.80. Easy right? Well, they sent me $0.90. So I put in a ticket and they kept telling me it was the fault of Paypal. Long story short, no, it wasn't Paypal. Finally, Blizzard just started dening I even sold the gold:
"My name is Jeremy and I’ll be assisting you with your auctions.
I took a look at your account and I only see 4 sold auctions. All 4 of these transactions were paid out properly. The fith transaction that you see is not from this account and I was unable to locate any sales to go with that deposit."
Wait, so who sent me $0.90 then? Why does the history on my RMAH say I sold 1m gold 5 times?

Been hearing a lot of this lately. Blizzard's standard responses for all the ones I've seen has been to first blame paypal, and then to deny you even sold anything.
Blizzard has a mean poker face eh?
I had to hire a lawyer to get $400 out of a paypal account.
I'd trust them about as much as your average Blizzard employee or Chinese gold farmer.
It seems quite right to me. Instead you shoulda been receiving $0.80.
When you're using paypal, blizzard charges you 15% transfer fee, while Paypal charges you $1.00.
So there's not a 1.00 posting fee by blizzard?
wasent that 1$ fee for posting items and the 15% for gold
Yeah, I thought Blizzard charged a 1.00 posting fee if the item sells. So you'd have 2.50 at 15% is -.37. so 2.13, then take out that 1.00 fee is 1.13, and then if pay pal has a fee, I can easily see .90 being correct.
Not for gold.
No, if you sell 1m for $2.50, you get $1.80. Confirmed by Blizzard in my OP.
I think a better way to make money would be to buy stuff with your in game gold instead of selling it. Then try to sell the tiem you bought for real money.
My friend has been making a lot of money doing it that way since gold is so easily acquired. You'll never be able to out sell gold vs. gold farmers. Even though they've allowed you to sell gold in the RMAH, gold farmers have their own website that will sell cheaper always.
Yes! I think both blizzard benifits with our money when you sell it in the RMAH. blizzard take $1 fee and I think paypal also get some amount i just don't know how much but they both benifits with your hard labor without a sweat. that sucks.
They should at least first deny that anything was sold, and then blame PayPal, if they first blame PayPal they already acknowledge the auction happened.
I guess once a company reached a critical mass, they simply don't care about stuff like that anymore. Worst case is someone "wins" a million in court anyways, if you rip off thousands of people in millions of auctions each day by such huge amounts (they held back 50%), it's more then worth it.
I'll wait to the day's end when the moon is high
And then I'll rise with the tide with a lust for life, I'll
Amass an army, and we'll harness a horde
And then we'll limp across the land until we stand at the shore
Items charge 1 + 15%
Consumables and gold charge 15% and then 15% of that result (it's not 30% of the original amount).
This is all done on blizzards side. You just get a straight payment on your paypal account indicating no charges with any type of paypal account.
So... the amount shown in your log and specified in the email you got from blizzard should ALWAYS be the amount that goes into your paypal account.
Meanwhile, at the annual shareholder meeting:
"Guys..guys! I know WoW subscriptions have dropped by a million, but we got 90 cents from Guely on the Diablo 3 RMAH so it's all good..."
So let's get a class action lawsuit going. We can nickle and dime them to death like they are trying to do to you. If you have documentation that it was sold, and undelivered then they can bullshit allday. Let's see wha ta Judge has to say about it.
I'd rather just sell my Diablo 3. Game is trash.
"I am not in a server with Gankers...THEY ARE IN A SERVER WITH ME!!!"
Meanwhile at the high powered law firm:
Greedy Lawyer "So...you want to file a lawesuit against Blizzardf! (/rubs greedy hands together)...for how much?"
Guely "For 90 cents...plus interest!!" :-)
Greedy Lawer "... ... get the $#@% out of my office!!"
Hahahaha I love it.
Perhaps the definition of a "Class Action" lawsuit is unknown to you? Take that .90 and multiply it by the 500k-2 million people they have probably done it to already. It adds up faster than you think. Now what will Joe Guely get out of it in the end? Probably about $.45. The greedy lawyer woul dbe the only one pulling in any money.
"I am not in a server with Gankers...THEY ARE IN A SERVER WITH ME!!!"
Paypal's always been a royal scam, but I guess now Blizzard wants to get in on that action as well.
Or else they are just incompetant at it.
If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.
