TERA: Get Ready to 'Suit Up for Summer'

En Masse Entertainment has laid out the details about the TERA "Suit Up for Summer" event that will commence on August 3rd and run end August 13th. During specified times of day, players can take part in events that will yield in-game rewards including a 30-day bathing suit!
"Suit Up for Summer" Event: August 3 to August 13
Weekdays: 12:00 PM to 11:59 PM Pacific
Saturday and Sunday: 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM PacificDuring the event period, defeat monsters in coastal zones to collect special event boxes. These boxes will contain:
Fireworks
Rare Crystals
Combat consumables
Swimsuits (30-day Temporary)

I couldn't agree more. Because the way I see it. If the devs want to use this style of clothing for characters then create a different game around it. Consistency is everything and adding inconsistent fluff is the worst kind of fluff.
Sweet swimsuits! Just what the game needs! That horse was great as well! And those novelty weapons? Wonderful!
Remember those new class balence patches and new content ? Yah me neither...:(
Tera is turing into a 25-40 dollar a month dress up game. Now we just need a cherry mustang mount and a guild house to complete the barbie set.

Aion went this route, and it just really makes me glad I decided to give up on it. Keep it in keeping with the game and RP.
Cancelled my sub as well. Combat is amazing, unfortunately that's about it.
I mean, I appreciate when a MMO "lightens the mood" from conflict / war and such with silly/fun things like this... like Brewfest in WoW or whatever...
but this... #1 complaint people have with Tera's style/visuals = over sexualized... so you include bathing suits.... *facepalm*

I play Tera too, but I hate all those "cute" out of context stuff.
It doesn't make me want to play more...............on the contrary.
One of the reason I left EQ2 is because they started doing this sort of crap
What I find really funny is the people complaining that this stuff is "out of context" and yet are anxiously awaiting Guild Wars 2.
Do you people not know that GW2 will be selling stuff like sunglasses and hats in the cash shop?

Seems to be going in the same direction as Aion.... should of figured. Well it was a month of somewhat entertainment.

The part that kills me is they are adding 30 day clothes into a P2P game and expecting people to actually buy it... Yeah, good like with that one EME.
