I can't find myself to log into RIFT and LOTRO which are my main games, I really cant, they feel so...well they feel so off and static...
So I unsubbed both of them and have this feeling like you had the day before christmas as a kid, the sad part is,
It's not the day before christmas It's a whole month away, and I don't expect to play on 3 days head start due to massive hammering on the servers.
My point is with all this rambling is that I feel after 5+ years of looking around I feel at home, I feel this game is for me I can finally take a breath and say, yes I stake my claims and settle here at this spot.
But when you ge older, you have a job, and a kid and a wife, I say to my self why in hell didnt they make this game 10 years ago

I know what you mean. I haven't played WoW since BWE 2, and with that shitty MoP expansion coming out, I won't start again. Why the hell do I want to stand there clicking skills and falling asleep as enemies just crumble in front of you when I can move around and run the risk of actually dying from 1 to 80?

Same happened to me....but after BWE1....
Right after i tried the game for myself ...i knew it was the game i was waiting for.
And i´m still waiting ffs.....
i actually am struggling to stay with TSW right now... quests are great and I actually enjoy the combat but the world itself aside from the overall atmosphere is very static. The immersive world gw2 brings together is really like nothing I have experienced in an MMO before and i as well am having trouble enjoying others.. I'm even back in gw1 to try to get some hall of momuments stuff.. I really don't like gw1 much though so i dunno how long I can stick this out heh..
I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. I'm under doctors perscriptions to keep me going until the 25/08/12 also have my holidays booked but sadly I'm going on a flipping 9 day cruise to Canada what a stupid thing to do release it while I'm on holiday abroad...Hope they have Wifi on the curise liner.

Me too I just bought the other expansions to try and get at least 30/50 but I'm not gonna hold my breathe and really it's a waste of £19.99. What some folks do for a fix...

Everyday to deal with my depression I put a bullet in a gun and spin the chamber. I hope I make it to the 25th.
I logged into Rift for the 5 free days and immediately tried to dodge roll to gain swiftness. I was bored after 10min.
LOL after BWE3 i got the urge to play EVE. anyways guildwars 2 = great game, cant come soon enough.
The last beta was a gas, though it was only for 2 days, now I have to wait till the 25th...well I have Civilization, so that will keep me busy till then.
Same here. I haven't logged on to SWTOR since BWE3 and matter of fact unsubscribed seeing how my next billing date was right before GW2 came out.
Also waiting for the Planetside 2 beta to be fair.

Yeah. After BWE3, I cancelled TSW. Just can't do it.
I did finally stop procrastinating and am working on getting at least 15 points in the GW Hall of Monuments. I will admit that my first hour back to GW1 was very painful, but I made the transition and I'm working though it now with out much trouble. I'm just glad I'll be happy with 15 HoM points, because I don't know if I could deal with the grind that becomes more and more taxing the higher up the HoM ladder you try to go.

The 25th can't come here soon enough! Luckily I have DayZ to keep me gaming till GW2. I already told the wife that I'll be locked away in my fortress of solitude (aka the office) pretty much all day Saturday and Sunday. I'll make sure to take her out that Friday
Op- I totally agree. I actually had my first kid during the later days of guild wars and i can understand your feelings. Myself, despite having 6 MMO's installed atm, I can never bring myself to play them after the 2nd BWE. I feel like all i will be doing is wasting some of the precious time i have doing something that will amount to nothing. Basically, I have completed all the PVE content in them and all thats left is the pointless end game gear grind. I will not be playing them again after GW2 is released. The free time that i have will be put in GW2 when released and i am ok with that. Until then, I just don't feel like wasting time.
I'm sorry but the only one saying anything about the second coming is you. Fans of a game accept its flaws and strengths.
