500 MB? Are either talking about the whole traffic, or about the amount by which your .dat grew?. My .dat grew only by 200 MB this update, after staying more or less the same the last update(s).
I'll wait to the day's end when the moon is high And then I'll rise with the tide with a lust for life, I'll Amass an army, and we'll harness a horde And then we'll limp across the land until we stand at the shore
500 MB? Then you are either talking about the whole traffic, or you forgot to update it for a while. My .dat grew only by 200 MB this update, and stayed same size in the last one.
Update size not always coresponds to file size change. When you overwrite a line it doesn't have to change the size but you need to download that data first. If you have a file 10 MB in size, and apply 5 MB of updates that only change values around in the code the file will still stay at 10MB.

Your point being? As that's exactly what i was talking about. I didn't check how much data was transfered in total, only the difference in size in the file. Thats why i was saying "either talking about the whole traffic..[..]"

Well, its kind of logical to login before August 25th unless you want to download 10 GB that day, when they stated the beta client will be updated to the full version
Have they mentioned when exactly they would be putting in GPU optimizations? Or did I miss that? The game really hasn't run that much better for me since BWE1 and I've been looking for info on that ever since.

lol
I was hoping for patch notes, but Ive never seen patch notes out of Anet.
Abaddon, God of Secrets is in charge of patch notes.
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.

But..but.. we killed him. He's no more. Kormir took his place and she's just Goddess of Truth. Does that mean patch notes are forever lost ?

Definitely a 500MB patch.
570+ to be more precise.
After downloading this did anyone else try to login and play, just in case?
If you did and failed, did you try closing the client and restarting it again just in case you needed to reopen it for it to work and let you play?
Because I did both of those things.
I do it every night just about. I'm hoping a janitor or something hits the servers start button.

Yeah.... sadly I did the exact same thing. You know, just in case...
The idea of GW2 releasing and being able to play whenever I want for as long as I want just... doesn't even sound real.
We build up to the release for SO long, it takes on an almost mythical sense doesn't it?
Another 60mb patch today.
I wonder if we'll get another Stress Test before Headstart Access.
No.
Why not? It would be wise to double check so that they can make launch as smooth as humanily possible.. Unlike D3's horrible launch...
Next time wwe will play there will not be any patchnotes, there should be release notes.
Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)
Are we going to need an entire new client installation for release, or just an update from the last few betas?
As stated many times before, no, you dont need to download any other client. The beta client gets updated to the release client.
OKay, thanks.
Lucky. Was about to uninstall and defrag.
Remember to update your client though. So far theres a 300-500~mb update so far. Probably comes more up to release.
Login zealots. lol
