They took £12.50 from my bank card.. AFTER I cancelled my account..

And oh.. Look at what they replied with

*snip*

What?! I haven't logged into the game for over a month.. Can I go to the bank and demand a refund?

First they *charge* £24 from me for a refund on another account and now this?

Unfortunately we cannot give you a refund because your subscription has been renewed and you have 30 days more of gametime.

Thank you in advance for your comprehension.

The hell kind of line is that? And yes you can go through your bank to get the money back if you have proof you cancelled your account. It basically would rack up to a fraudulent charge and the bank would get the money back, but again you would have to show proof like a cancellation email from Frogster.

Wow, that's messed up. have you tried contacting your bank?

maybe they can do something about it.

Always delete your payment method when canceling your sub.

You can find the same issues with almost every mmo in existance.

You could always call your bank and dispute the charge. Worked for me with a different title.

If you dispute the charge they'll probably ban you.  Considering this is TERA that's probably ok though.

do what i do when playing sub games. Buy 1 month, cancel the sub and delete my card information from their website.

When the time is up if i still wanna play then i add it again and buy another month, then cancel again and delete my card info again.

Just have your bank issue a chargeback. You'll probably get banned for it but you'll get your money.

I dont know why you would be upset. They did thank you for your comprehension.

This is why I alway use Paypal if there is a option for it, they have saved me so much money in the past. I hope your bank can help if it's not too late.

    QFT

Best... or only way to go these days.

Since I got hit with the multiple charge issue in WAR (happened to tons of people)... I was charged 26 times for one month. I do the same thing as quoted above. If game cards are available I add time through those. I played a few games in the past that didnt have the option of deleting the payment method.

    Gotta be careful these days.

See if you can have the charges reversed, if not then tell the bank you want a new card because you think your information has been stolen.  Personally, I think it's worth it to change card #'s periodically after dropping a subscription or game anyhow, you might as well feel that every website is going to get hacked eventually, best to not leave it too long.

All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.

I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.

I enjoy the serenity of not caring what your opinion is.

I don't hate much, but I hate Apple© with a passion. If Steve Jobs was alive, I would punch him in the face.

Unless it's EnMasse handling Tera in the US. Canceling your sub resets to subbed and there's no option to remove your card information. I had to cancel my card so I could finaly be rid of the Tera curse.

Seems like both companies handling Tera in the US and EU love to rob you.

Not true, I have never deleted it. and never been charged and I have played pretty much every major sub based mmo to date. well cept tera, cuz tera kinda blew when i tried it in the open beta. Good concept but like most mmo's flawed execution. Elins are cute though, but not enough to make me wanan buy the game and play it. You know the game is bad when it does badly in the boring grind capital of the world that is korea.

Being a pessimist is a win-win pattern of thinking. If you're a pessimist (I'll admit that I am!) you're either:

    A. Proven right (if something bad happens)

    or

    B. Pleasantly surprised (if something good happens)

Either way, you can't lose! Try it out sometime!

it's kinda already is with Chronoscrolls, but I agree it will be fully F2P in a few months, just look at SWTOR.
