I will not focus on trying to lvl. I Will just play and enjoy myself then realise later that I made many level just by having fun. That is what happened in BWE :). Prety much everything you do give xp so just play and enjoy yourself and the level will come with it.

    This..

Since from level 1 you can enter WvWvW, htere is absolutely no need to rush, just enjoy the stories and the events in PvE, and eat your heart out at PvP. Its skill that matters, not gear.

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

I plan on playing the game differently with different characters. One character however will be dedicated to complete exploration with as little unnatural guidance as possible.  The character I play with my wife will be mainly exploration and I lvl when it happens. I will have a WvWvW character that probably will just hang out there, and I have no idea what will happen with the rest. I fully plan on having one of each class, so I'm just going to feel out the game and play what feels the most enjoyable. I definately won't be rushing at all.

All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.

I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.

I enjoy the serenity of not caring what your opinion is.

I don't hate much, but I hate Apple© with a passion. If Steve Jobs was alive, I would punch him in the face.

My first character will be a Human Elementalist.

My first day will likely go something like this:

In the tutorial zone, I'll run around and send about 50 villagers to the Inn to build up an early Karma buffer, while also killing every Centaur I see. Then, I'll do the Dynamic Event to Defend the Gates of the keep about 4 times, to gain a little more XP and loot drops, before going on to finish the boss battle event.

When I get out of the tutorial, I'll buy a Salvage kit and break down the salvageables from the tutorial zone, send them to my bank, sell junk and hopefully have enough cash for gathering tools, then I'll head into Divinity's Reach. I plan on doing the Map Completion there before anything else. Should be worth a couple levels and enough coin to buy a few weapons to start working on weapon skill unlocks.

Armed with those weapons, a stack of salvage kits and gathering tools, plus a few levels, I'll head out into Queensdale. I plan on doing all the Heart tasks in the 2-6 area, any DEs I find, as well as getting all the PoIs, Waypoints, Vistas and Skill Challanges in that part of the zone.

Then, I'll go to my PvP tab and select "Enter the Mists". I'll take the gate to Lion's Arch, grab the easiest half of the Waypoints, PoIs and Vistas, before taking a Portal to the Norn City.

I'll complete exploration of Hoelbrek, then head out into the level 2-6 Norn area and do everything there.

Should be about level 9 or 10 at that point. I'll head back to Divinity's Reach and do all the Personal Story elements up to level 10 or 12.

I'll monitor the Trading Post during the early hours for cheap deals on crafting mats and opportunities for profit. If opportunity so dictates, I may take a short break from my above plans to do some crafting, but, if not, once I finish the level 12 Personal Story segment, I'll see what crafting I can do with the mats I have accumulated. Probably will plan on making some 8 slot bags as part of this.

From that point on, I'll take a breath and decide where I want to go in the world. No matter where I go, I plan on doing all the content I find in my travels. I may focus on getting map completion for Queensdale. This would make the most sense, continuing the personal story along the way, but with days, weeks, months and years ahead of me, I might toss the most efficient route aside and just follow my bliss.

It may sound like I've planned out my early journey based on leveling rate, but I just see it as laying a foundation for me to be more free with the path I chart from level 17 on. I eventually want to complete every zone and take screen shots of every Vista, but with more options on what to do than I can really comprehend, I don't have to do it in the most efficient fashion. I really want to just immerse in the world and let my character's fate unfold as it will.

One thing I will do different live vs. the BWEs is I won't feel that I have to rush to fit things in. If I want to explore every city at level 10, before going on, I can and I will. If I want to just pick a zone and see where the Dynamic Events lead me, I will. If I want to spend a couple hours playing the market and crafting, I will.

I have enough of the Achiever in me to know it will be good for me to have an efficient plan for my first six hours of play. However, after that fouindation has been laid, I plan on doing what ever I feel like doing and let levels come as they will.

I used to chase the leading edge of the leveling curve during MMO releases. I never shot for the top, but usually was somewhere in the top 5%. With GW2? I really don't care. I want to experience the world and the only time I will give thought to leveling is if I hit some where I want to go, but can't because I'm not high enough level yet. If I instead end up being level 30, still doing starting zone content for various races, that's fine too. :)

So, yeah I have plans and I do actually want to get to level 12 fairly efficiently, because that will greatly expand my choice of content to do and places to explore, but I don't care how fast I get to level 80, because it just doesn't matter.
