The Shadowrun Online team has updated the Kickstarter page with news that the project has seven days left to get funded. They have also released a video diary about the team's "multi-layered world view concept" and announced a Reddit Q&A for August 8th at 3 p.m. EST.

Shadowrun so far looks like an improved engine of the SuperNes version, the game was really good back then, however i was wondering what about the mmo part or the online part. I guess this is going to be more like a "multiplayer" option more than a MMO. In either case i might play it just for the old times.

IMO I believe they set their goal far too high, probably using the other Shadowrun reboot as a benchmark. The fact that this is a browser game probably turned off a large chunk of potential backers, and they are likely wishing they had set their goal to $250,000, as I do not believe Kickstarter will allow you to lower your funding goal.

It does look unlikely that they  will manage to meet that goal, with only 6 days and still half way to go.

Judging from the little they show in the above video, i also wonder why they need so much money. It appears to me that all the extra stuff they offer for people who back it does cost more then the game itself.

I'll wait to the day's end when the moon is high
And then I'll rise with the tide with a lust for life, I'll
Amass an army, and we'll harness a horde
And then we'll limp across the land until we stand at the shore

Aside from setting their goal high, they also had the problem that they chose a short (30 day) time to raise it.  Kickstarter allows for goals such as 60 days--which would've given them a better shot at raising the amount they sought.

There's ridiculously little info about the game on their kickstarter page to get what their asking.

Also, I don't think it's a popular enough IP for that much either.

Although the screenshots do look pretty cool. I want this game to make it, just seems out the window atm, unless they go on without meeting their goal.
