    In short, it's basically BF2 with a lot more players. Not putting it down mind you, I enjoy the game tremendously!

    It has its bugs, lags badly etc, but there's no doubt it will be my new chosen MMO for a year or two.

    This and GW2 will be rocking my time for years and years to come i can tell you that.

    Man this game looks to good to be true.

     

    2012 Q3 and Q4 will be rocking my time, almost feel like the early days where games blew your mind away and almost choked you to death :)

    That...was amazing! Personally I loathe F2P games but I will allow SOE to micro-transaction me to death if this game truly lives up to what I just saw. Loved, loved, loved the first game and this one looks so much better. Can't wait!

    Yes, Matt Higby has been streaming a few hours of closed beta play every day since the 7th of August. I guess the NDA doesn't apply if you're the Creative Director of the game image

    What truly grabbed me was the sound design. It sounds like you are truly in the midst of a huge war and all the night time tracer fire is the icing on the cake. Hope my mediocre PC can handle this, until I can build myself a better one. image

    I love the sound the vehicles make as they fly over, cant wait to play

    As a FPS this game looks awesome but as a MMO I have my concerns.

    and in short, battlefield is basically wolfenstein with more players ^^

     

    fyi, planetside 1 (fights 100++, persistant world) was released one year after battlefield 1942 (fight 2x32 players, "instanced" maps)

    seriously, there is a HUGE difference between battlefield and planetside, and i hope you see that at some point :)

    Woah, I don't even care about FPS games but I may have to try this out.  The flying parts look kinda like what I would have hoped they would have done for SWTOR or something in the Star Wars universe.

    Went right over your head, didn't it? I just meant the combat feels similar to that of BF2, which certainly isn't a bad thing. I enjoyed BF2 very much.

    Btw, the Bloom, Blur, HDR, and FXAA ruins Planetside2 beta. Look at that video fullscreen in 1080p. It just looks horrible. My eyes can barely take it from all the eyestrain :(!

     

     

    Why do developers do this?!

    I watched it in 1080p, full screen, and it looks pretty freaking sweet to me. Don't know whats wrong with ya. :P

    It looks really good.. I can't figure out why I'm not very hyped/excited about it though.

    I think I'm more interested in seeing the progression and customization options/screens more than actual combat gameplay.

    Will be trying it out regardless.

    I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
