What Race Will Your Ranger Be ?

My initial thought was Norn.But now I'm leaning Sylvari. Still trying to decide.

What race might your ranger be..and why that choice ?

    Opposite for me, I wanted to be Sylvari Ranger but I'll be Norn at launch. :) Sylvari is too fancy / colorful for my taste. Plus Norn worship animals, perfect for a Ranger.

    My ranger will be Norn as well.

    I kicked around the Sylvari but decided I wanted my Sylvari to be a Guardian.  

    I also kicked around Asura, because I thought it would be cool to be able to use your pet as a mount, but the game doesn't let you....

    I have been having a lot of trouble deciding.. I love Norn, Sylvari and Asura, dislike human and hate Charr... BUT I LOVE the T3 racial human armor for rangers.. So I think ill just make an alt human eng for that armor.. ok that problem solved.. then I think well I would like my main to be able to be sexy if I want so that removes Asura.. I'll make my ele alt Asura.. So not I am down to Norn and Asura. I REALLY dislike the racial armor for sylvari and the Norn is all right.. now I also know there are many other armor out there that will look cool so I think about the char itself... I like the begining Norn story, disliked the second half and I played my Norn ranger to lvl 35 and maxed the story in previous BWE's and I so far like the Sylvari story.. I love both areas except the Sylvari area is a pain to get alternate pets, especially an amphibious or aquatic pet, but that can be fixed via Asura gates.... I guess it comes down to looks and you know what I keep coming back to? that bioluminessence! thats the one thing I keep really wanting on my toon lol

    so in short.. long road to decision but ill be going Sylvari.

    I am going with a human ranger but it was a real toss up between the human and sylvari...

    Sylvari guardian..

    Asura engineer..

    Charr necro..

    Norn warrior...

    Im gonna be busy for quite a while...;)

    Norn for my ranger, Sylvari Mesmer, Asura engineer, Human elemetalist and perhaps a human necro are my plans atm. Still deciding on which will be main and which seconadary etc

    My guess is that you will see a lot of:

    Asura Thief & Engineers

    Sylvari Ranger

    Norn & Char Warriors

    Human Guardians & Elementalists

    Necro & Mesmers I see equal amounts for all classes.

    Charr for my ranger and probably most of my chr's, I love their running animation.

    Norn get a racial ability..shapeshift.Wow thats hard to resist.But Sylvari get entangle which is an almost certain death ability so......

     

    OH I DON"T KNOW  !  :-)

     

     

    (norn don't get an entangle like spell do  they  ? :-) )

    RL finally settled down enough to get back into an mmo. I had been following the boards here and this is a topic I have been thinking about. Is an Asura ranger viable? Are certain races traits better or worse for different professions? Thanks in advance for any input and it is great to be back....can't wait to get into the game!!!!

    Sylvari.  I don't particularly like the in-game aesthetic execution, but I wanted one in my stable to get some of the background story on them.  I was originally going to make an elementalist, but when I played one in BWE3 the Sylvari elementalist concept just didn't feel right to me.  Yes, I know I just made anybody reading this want to jump in and explain that Sylvari elementalists are completely justified.  I know.  It just didn't feel right to ME.

     

    During the first stress test after BWE3 I rolled a Sylvari ranger and I was finally able to imagine a character concept (appearance, personality, etc.) that felt "right."

    Norn for my ranger i play a Sylvari one and it just did not feel right i do not know may have been becuse i play a norn ranger for every thing but BEW3

    are you my long lost twin =P your top three are the exact prof/race combos I plan on and I planned on a human necro until I saw the T3 human medium racial armor.. so my human might be eng instead >.< not really sure if I will end up making a charr at all
