They just recently released the entrants into the 2006 Independant Games Festival awards and, while I was browsing the list, I found this little gem. I haven't tried it, but it looks like a damn fine indie attempt at a MMORPG. I'd also like to point out that this game was put together in 14 months with a budget of $500,000. Yeah, that's alot of time and money. But it's also alot less time and money than some on these boards have quoted for production costs.....
Anyway, I'm probably going to check this out and get back you with it.

No screenshots. No news. Not even a decent game description. So they made a 1 page website. I need a little more then that before I start getting excited bro. Even if this game makes it, it'll likely be YEARS before it ever releases.
I'm desperate myself for a good mmo, but geez bro I think you're going off the deep end as far as desperation for a good mmo goes. Heh.

All I am saying is that I think that seeing that 1 page website with no real game info, no screenshots, and not even a FAQ and coming here uhhh using "un-hyping" words like "gem" and "damn fine" to describe it is just a tiny bit premature.

No Zax, you're trolling and you know it. But hey, you gotta do what you love, right? And a "gem" can simply mean that the subject is rare, like in this case. Out of all the entrants in the 2006 IGF, only 2 of them were MMORPGs. The other one is already on the game list here. I'd never heard of this one, so I thought I'd pass it along.
And since I've never heard of it... I'm curious about it. Maybe I thought that posting about it here could get me some more information.... maybe?.... You think?.....

Jimmy, the way I see things, you are the only one trolling here.
You are trolling zaxx simply because he had valid points that your little game you want to hype has no info at all even on its own website. I mean everything I clicked there said "under construction". Zaxx is correct stating that there are no screenshots or even a f.a.q. about the game, so thus he is also correct that there is way too little information to know much at all about this little gem of a game as u like to call it.
When he pointed that out, you quickly resorted to nasty name calling, insults, and attacks.
If anyone is trolling here it is you in your very own thread and I would hate to say this, but with so little info on this game, as funny as it sounds, I would think that you are already a Kothuria fanboy who is getting extremely angry over anyone who doesnt agree totally with you, even if there is no info about it to help them agree with your blind hype and love of a currently non-existant game with non-existant info or screenshots.
Then you act like lots of people are going to be able to give all kinds of info about it. Now talking about not thinking - how are other people gonna know about it when there is no info even on the games own flippin' website? Talk about fanboys, I dont think i've ever seen someone become such a raging fanboy about nothing as quickly as you.

Without naming names there are plenty of you guys who need to unplug get out in nature, have some alcaholic beverages and share the company of someone from the oposite sex.... I promise if you follow those steps (not necesarrily in the order i listed) you wont get on people for posting about a MMORPG on a MMORPG forum

So I look at the site, see basically nothing except the name of the game, with everything I click on giving me an "under construction, please check back later" error message.
Sooo, I simply write (with non-flamatory humor intented) that I think it's just a little too early to start getting excited about this game with nothing at all to go on. No screenshots, no real description of game features, no news, notta. I make a reference to you must be desperate, as I am too, for a good mmo to be already looking at such games with any interest. Re-read my 2nd post. I don't feel this was a troll post what-so-ever. Perhaps you took it wrong which often happens when words are expressed in writing rather then in person where you may hear the inflection and tone of what's said. I dunno. But your next response was cursing at me, calling me names, and an extremely hate-filled response. (I also notice that you completely changed this response, removed all your curse words, deleted the part about me needing psyciatric help, etc etc - and I can only assume you did this as per a message request that you do so from a board moderator)
After this, I only fired back with sarcasm and words to defend your extremely aggressive, non called for personal attacks. I hate to say it, but i might have to agree with Radlik that you seem like a raging, foaming at the mouth fanboy of this game you know almost nothing about by looking at your aggression towards anything that isn't also agreeing with you on how cool and what a "gem" this unheard of mmo looks like.
Perhaps you are pissed off at me for dis-agreeing with you on some other game or something which I am unaware of.
I have been on this site for a long period of time, have recieved many personal messages about how cool, fun-to-read, and insightful about games my posts are. Several people have said that they thank me for not being like so many on these boards and being a complete troll when they thought sometimes people could have provoked me into flame wars with personal attacks and such. So be it. You can think I am nothing but a troll if you like. I know otherwise. I do however speak my mind about what I think of games, and make attacks on games which I dislike, but I refrain from cursing and try to give good reasons as to why I like or dislike a certain game and/or features.
Jimmy, I am certainly not on these boards to troll, but to spend time looking and waiting for the next mmo that I will like. I am most certainly not here to bow down to you and agree with your every statement or point of view, just as I don't expect that of you. I really could care less if you like me or disagree with me or not, but at this point the only person trolling here is you. You are not trolling other games, but instead trolling "me" and I hope that you are "done" with me as you say. Ignore all my posts if you must to avoid cursing me and calling me names simply because I don't agree with your posts or positions.

Well, I think I already explained "gem" as being a reference to rarity. If you actually READ the original post, you'd notice that the next word,after "damn fine" is ATTEMPT at an indie MMO. The fact that an indie setup is even trying to make an MMORPG is comendable. If you are so sensitive to buzzwords and blind to sentence context, then I can't really believe that youre are as "insightful" as your "fans" think you are. I have no Idea what this game is like and I said nothing of the alledged quality that this game may or may not have. In fact, you can go over my last 300+ posts and see that I've never "hyped" a game. The closest I came to "hyping" was when I stated that I played the Guild Wars world wide beta event and planned on buying the game. I have not, and will never endorse any game that I have not played.

It isn't the fact that you disagree Zax. It's the totally antagonistic and childish way in which you disagree. I've had arguements with others on these boards. It usually starts out rough because I say exactly what I think without holding back. At some point however, there is clarification of both sides. While I may not completely agree with some people, I can at least come to respect their point of view. But respect is earned and not handed out.
Look back at how you handled this thread. Put yourself in another's shoes and ask yourself, honestly, if you would respect you. I don't. I find you childish, egocentric, and simple. This is only my opinion. My opinion is based upon what you've shown me.
Then again, a friend of mine recently pointed out a very real aspect of the internet. Arguing over the internet is alot like being in the Special Olympics. Win or lose, you're still retarded. So maybe I shouldn't have played into this pissing contest to begin with.....

Let's see, that was three monthes ago? The threads I sumbited where how old? We didn't come to this point untill that rather unfortunate exchange on the "carebear" thread and then again when I tried to bring the whole subject out so we could move on past the whole "carebear vs. PKer" thing. Yes, it was naive of me to think that could be done.
And again, you act like you have something to prove. Why? You yourself admitted that this arguement was about nothing. Yet you continue it. If you want to agro someone, go play BF2 or Rome: Total War and get it out of your system. Better yet, take up a martial art and compete against live opponents that are in the same room as you. Who knows, maybe you'll find some self respect and grow beyond the need to participate in flame wars like this.

I apologize if you think I am trolling your posts. There is no such intent here or in any other thread. The only time I hae ever trolled was in Mourning forums. Heh Heh. And those trolls were only comical thrashings directed at the devs and mods of Mourning.

YEP....The best reason to visit this site IS to read up on new MMO's. I really appreciate the people who post MMO's they have found no matter how good they may or may not be. So thank you Jimmy!

Checked out the link to Kothuria and does seem too early to tell how game will be, hopefully we will get to see a bit more in the months to come.

LoL, it's okay radlin. Jimmy is obviously still pissed off because I disagreed with him on his prefrences for overly streamlined games and his hatred of things like PvP and actual consequences for things like "dying" in a game. That's cool. You gotta understand that I am a total troll for disagreeing with him. Oh but as he said, it's not that I disagree with him, it's how I disagree with him that makes me a ummm "troll". To not be a troll, you gotta have class like him with his barage of insults, curse words, and name calling that he throws around and has to be sent mail from a forum mod to edit his posts to avoid deletion.
