Dear chocolate lovers, would you please stop coming over to the peanut butter forums raving about your delectable processed cocoa treat? We here at the peanut butter forums enjoy our own, deliciously nutty flavors - so you'd better just leave well enough alone and bugger off!
What can we possibly accomplish by discussing or combining these two treats in one singular conversation?

Use the block feature..trust me it works great. I know these names that keep popping up regularly who do nothing but try to stir the flame.
But most of the GW2 fans are great and really mature people. Just ignore the bad apples and it goes for any mmorpg forums here.

It is the nature of the Internet... especially of Website that is dedicated to multiple games like this one. Speaking as GW2 fan, as long as i would want the same thing as you, that will never going to happen unfortunatelly.

I feel that most of these supposed "fans are new generation of trolls who pretend to be fans and learn about a certain game in detail. then armed with this new knowledge they hit other games forums and troll people. most people assume these are real "fans" of such and such game. thus we have this confusion and threads asking GW2 fans not to troll on their forums.
Trolling has evloved it seems. Little buggers are getting advanced man. Most of the true GW2 fans here just dislike misinformation about the game. they don't go into other games forums spouting vitrol like a viper.

Exactly that is what i ahve been tryign to say. They are like thos troublemakers who start fights during football matches which blow up into full fledged riot and poor innocentt fans also get beat up and trampled in the chaos.
These people who go to other forums just to post 'my game is better than yours' are not the real fans. They give bad name to rest of the community.
^ only time I really get into an argument about GW2 is when people spout off things that are untrue or maybe they are just falsely informed.. But doesn't matter what game it is I see people doing this for every game on here do it shouldn't be of any suprise to people to see posts like that.. but if you can show facts and proof to debunk whatever the person is posting and can have an actual conversation I think it can be beneficial. To many times though it turns into someone sticking their fingers in their ears yelling lalalalalala "my opinion is right and only one that matters".. lalalalalalalalala

I don't know why people care. How can someone sink so low in their quality of life that they need to bash another game. I mean do you actually not like *your* game enough, so you have to bash other games to make your time spent seem worth it?
And even worse, how low can you sink if you actually care about what other people think about the game you like? Are you all such turncoats that even if you like a game, you wont play it because someone else thinks it's crap? I mean what's that, peer preassure? Grow up...
I don't care if you bash a game or if you are such a chicken that you follow the words of others, both are equally sad and pathetic
i WAS one of those SWTOR fans, I bought into all the hype and lies that Bioware/EA fed us and was sorely disappointed.
Saying that, the GW2 fans at that time were pretty rabid and were jumping on every and any game that wasnt GW2 and flaming it into the ground

Also, this whole 'we stop when you stop' BS is pretty pathetic. Put your big girl panties on and either ignore the posts or have a conversation and if a conversation can't be had...then move on (big girl panties and all) as it's really not worth it.

OP I’d just take it as a compliment, as chances are the only reason they are doing such is because they are threatened by it.
Some people seem to think only one game can be good, and their tastes are absolute. So they try to force that on others, as they have to be right and everyone must know.
Not going to get into which game is better, as that’s not the intent of this thread and both are good games. Which is why some see it as a battle. I can also pretty much guarantee GW2 will be getting slated due the lack of things to do by fanbois of the next “big thing” a month after release, when people have hit level cap. Generally MMOs are always targets for the hype of MMOs that follow.
I've been coming to the GW2 board for the last couple months and I can't say I've ever particularly noticed a TSW fan coming in here with the "My game rules, your game sucks" attitude -- maybe one a week? -- so I'm not sure why all of a sudden people decided to act like it's all over the ----ing place.
This subforum is by far the best on MMORPG at jumping on any dissent. If you're not happy with the way GW2 is being treated here, you should probably stop coming to MMORPG and check out the guru instead.
There are also GW2 fans like myself who also like TSW, believe that latter game does some things quite well and therefore bring them up when discussing game features, but if that's bashing GW2 then maybe you all should pull your head out of your backsides.
I never would have bothered with taking part in TSW's forums after I had decided that I didn't want to play the game. Until I started seeing people like bcbully who continually try to make GW2 look bad. After a while I ended up being sick of watching him do this so I thought I'd share too. So every time I see bcbully share in the GW2 forums, than I take a moment to share in the TSW forums. If I don't see bcbully in the GW2 forums, I leave TSW alone.
Does that mean I'm no better than him? OK.
All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.
I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.

I agree with you. GW2 fans should not be going over to the TSW forums to bash the game. I posted a little there when I tested the game and when I played the game. Gave my opinion on what I liked and what I was disappointed with. When I decided not to go beyond the first month, I stopped posting on the TSW forums.
TSW or fans of any other MMO shouldn't be coming to this or any other game's forum to bash a game for not being their game of choice. Usually the bashers show their ignorance and just make themselves look bad.

No fans of any game are to blame for trolling that occurs on any subforum. There is simply a certain kind of person who gets his kicks by pushing others' buttons and seeing how seriously they react. We call them trolls on the internetz. They, as individuals, may actually like any game; and they, as individuals, can be found harassing players from every game.
Please, for the love of god, ignore them.
It actually works in their favor when you misidentify them as representatives of another game. They are their own group. They're not GW2 fans, TSW fans, ToR fans, Tera fans or WoW fans. They are their own group.
JUST. IGNORE. THEM.
I relish the day when every one of their threads is met with exactly zero replies. But, of course, I know that day will never come. Until then, I'll happily read onto the next thread.
yea never going to happen:).. for instance I could start a thread talking about an amazing experience I had in a game with video details and all that jazz.. i would get a few replies saying good job, nice stuff, glad to see stuff like this. Then i could post another thread saying GAME X BLOWS MONKEY A** with nothing in the subject line and watch ten pages of replies within an hour. So is the cycle of the internet gaming forums:P

The people comming to TSWs (and other games forums) just to bash them are trolls, not GW2 fans. GW2s forum is getting trolled by plenty of people as well, some of who is TSW fans as well as trolls.
Lets not lower ourself to that level and ignore the trolls instead of feeding them or falling for their usual trick to pit games against eachothers.
Personally I like GW2 while I will try TSW sometimes this winter (my FunCom experiance tells me that waiting a bit might make me enjoy the game more, I could be wrong but I don´t see myself as having anything to loose by waiting a little). I will not go and make threads about other games at their forum.
Trolls are like politicians and vampires, they feed on other people. If we just ignore them they will eventually go away to troll another forum.
Oh yeah, creating a thread with a snarky title that will attract hundreds of posts is easy as pie. I've long since concluded that many posters come to such forums simply to find an emotional outlet. When they find a ridiculous post that nearly enrages them, in a way, that's almost exactly what they need. They are given an opportunity to let it all out--however rationally or irrationally in response--and then return to their normal lives.
It's like a very bizarre therapy.
