Forgot to put Fraps on, but the lag from Friday was non-existant, gameplay was incredibly smooth for me in a surprisingly crowded human starting area on Maguuma. How about the rest of ya?

Oderint, dum metuant.

yep, no lag at all here either.

And I just upgraded my dinosaur (x2 4200+) to an Ivy 3570k and between that and whatever they are doing to optimize, I am now getting 50+ FPS constant on max settings (minus supersampling and bloom) and 40 with supersampling. That's up from 19 on low/med settings prior.

I am one happy camper right now!

The game played comepletely smooth just now and I am STOKED even more than before, if that's possible.

Yes, yes it was. It was good stuff.

"For the Angel of Death spread his wings on the blast,
And breathed in the face of the foe as he passed:
And the eyes of the sleepers waxed deadly and chill,
And their hearts but once heaved, and for ever grew still!"

I did still get some vanishing landscapes :(

But with new GFX card support in game, I am getting 50-60+ FPS w/ everything on high - amazing. (including high res character models)

No post-processing (looks so much better) and I never turn any AA on.

Yep, no server lag at all.

I did have an issue with frame rates. FPS was less than half what it was last stress test. I had to change it to Best Performance, then go through the settings one by one to return them to my prefered settings, (mostly maxed). I then quit and restarted, to make sure all settings were in effect and my FPS was back where it should be.

I don't have this happen between sessions during a beta event, but I have had this before between some events. I'm wondering if it's a bug related to getting booted from the servers when they shut everything down. There were no patches between Friday and today, so I don't think it was caused by a build change.

So, if any one has FPS issues, may be worth resetting to Best Performance, then turning things back on to your preference.

Smooth as silk. Today was such a tease though. That hour just flew by.

yea same very odd it happens a lot for me in the asura area in certain spots.. put in several bug reports about it hopefully it gets sorted by launch

I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg

It's strange b/c I disabled FXAA and put Supersampling from default and it felt like I had smoother framerate which doesn't make sense at all =P

but it might be all just my imagination =P Didn't have time to test it in more places ><

Yeah i was totally lag free today, Set everything to max and was still running at 75-90 fps in a crowded human starting zone.

The lag was TERRIBLE on Wednesday's stress. Today was an absolute walk in the park. Words can't describe the difference. Big ups for the changes that have been made!

Oh, good to know! I will test this out during the next stress test! Hey ArenaNet, please tweak something else so you need us to stress it some more :)

The frame rate was great.  I was running fraps and for the whole hour it was between 50-100 fps so was very pleased.

There was however a small amount of lag while doing one of the story instances.  Specificially it was the first one of the human noble story quest.  When speaking to the NPCs at the party there was a noticible delay between clicking F and them actually responding.  That was the only place I noticed it.  It wasn't bad but it was very noticible.

The vanishing graphics are abviously graphic driver issues..

It might help to try some different drivers.

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

That sound more like a lag problem than framerate

No lag and steady 40+ FPS. The game ran as smooth as butter and I didn't experience any disappearing textures.

Less than 2 weeks to go. Woooo!

tried 3 differn't sets of nvidia drivers the latest WHQL the latest beta and the latest dev beta.. all same thing. Never had this issue once in the beta weekends

I agree, I have not ran into the vanishing problem and I've played in every BWE so far. I'm playing on a old Gtx 570 with no graphic issues and  55 - 60 fps.  maybe it's a problem with newer cards?

  • GilcroixGilcroix Member UncommonPosts: 263

No lag this time but fps were down to around 25 and i wasn't even around many players. I was mostly in the asura area though and there are a lot of graphic errors / disappearing landscape there.

Video card - Radeon HD 7450

Like buttah, baby. Didn't notice vanishing landscapes, but where environments are concerned I'm not the most observant guy. I was happy just running around and through events without getting choppy.

I think there's simply less people were on this time around. Many of my friend wasn't even aware that there's a stress test today.

I think it may be the newer cards that are suffering from the disappearing landscape issues, so far a few friends of mine and I are running older GFX cards and not experiencing issues. ATI Radeon HD5700 series with all the newest drivers.

Ah I see, then it might be on their side then, I hope it is sorted out before launch seeing as they only got 2 weeks left.

ATI Radeon HD 6800, doing fine too. Would be ironic if now it's the ATI cards that are doing okay and the nVidia's having those graphic issues considering it was the opposite until now.
