Crysis devs released the capability of cry engine 3 here

its  a tech demo showing off the engine's capability, same engine is used in archeage.

This is the same engine used in archeage, its awesome. Also gives players a look at what its capable of.

    hum nope its been confirmed by the dev they are using cryengine 3. its been well known even in its faq.

     

    its the first mmo to license cryengine 3 so far.

    It's old news that they are using CE3 for AA,it's not hard to find the information lol.

    Good. Then the chances of them dumbing it down for the west is less likely to happen.

     

    Not that i dont want this game in the west. Its that i dont want the wrong crowd from the west playing it. You know the ones i speak of.

    i think my only concern is the accessibility of the player market, i think archeage is a niche game eventually. the pc requirement must  be pretty high up there.

    People play computer games for fantasy .. not realism.

     

    I've played many games with these childish mounts and anime characters you speak of, and if the game is fun then it's worth playing.  ArcheAge looks very fun.

     

    Your comment made me chuckle though .. what you are looking for is a real-life simulator without fantasy, without any absurdities.  Good luck finding others to play that kind of game, when going outdoors has the same effect, and is free.

    How is this related to what I said?

    I am just saying that a person named ArchAgeFan that makes a new thread about how great AA is every day is a little suspicious...

    Maybe it is Paranoia...

    An excited fan maybe?  I have a few game titles bookmarked from MMORPG.com and check here occasionally, because this game seems worth playing, in the mess of other sub-par games flooding the market.  If I had new info I would post it too =)

    I hope they really turn up the notch with the CryEngine 3.  Its more optimized and has awesome features.  Lots of fun things you can do with it in a sandbox style game.

    To get that CE3 working un full effect in a mmo world you need to have a monster system, not many people throw that amount of cash on the table these days.

    MMO's are created to rach as many people on cheap system, so the minimun system requirements are as low as posible.

    If hardware dint cost alot of money we all would see mmo's looking 10x better.
    its the mainstream market that prevents this.

    Cryengine 3 is not as bad when it comes to system requirements as CryEngine 2 was...

    Saying that this is an open world MMORPG so they wont be running with all the super amazing things you see in that Crysis 3 video :)

     

    AA will still look amazing tho :) lets just hope the game is good as well...
