I played through a few beta weekends but I only got to play a couple classes extensively. (Mesmer and Elementalist)
Since I never really got to try the others out but I am so intrigued from watching so much gameplay footage of other classes I can't help but ask this question to the MMORPG.com player base.
What was your favourite class you played in the beta weekends, why was it your favourite and will you be playing it come release day?
Personally I loved Elementalist, I have always loved caster classes but Elementalist just felt very special to me, being able to switch attunements like that without having to respec was just mind blowing and a crap ton of fun! Mesmer was ok too, I enjoyed playing it but it was my first toon and I didn't play it to as high level as I would have liked so I never got into it like I did with Elementalist.
I am curious, what are your thoughts? I always wanted to try Necromancer, with any good feedback I might decide to change my mind and roll something completely new and experience more of what GW2 has to offer.

Is Guardian as fun as it looked in the footage I watched on Youtube? How is its overall DPS and are the buffs and heals it uses make a huge difference in group play?

I'm sorry I didn't see it, it pay have the same poll but I doubt it asks all the same questions. I am looking for some feedback that will help myself and possibly others make an informed decision about picking a class.

It was a lot of fun during the betas. I read there were a lot of changes in the last stress test though, and i didn't get a chance to play it then. So we'll have to see if it is the same at release.
There was a large heal from an elite skill that was really nice. Most other heals are helpful but minimal. Dps was really good for how tanky i felt and guardians are great support as buffers and projectile blocking.
I miss DAoC
He said before release, and you said after beta....I dont see any difference.

is still on the first/2nd page why on earth did you make this poll?
It wasn't actually on the first/second page when this thread first got created. It was bumped right after because of this thread.
People like making polls, I think.
Guardian is more fun than the footage would even have you think. I can't say for sure about the DPS, since I didn't play many classes beyond 10 or so but had several guardians into the mid 20's over the past few events, but I always got the job done and lived to tell about it.
The guardian buffs from weapon skills, I can't say they helped much in a group as most people are still learning their own stuff and running like mad people, but the F1-F3 abilities definitely rock in a large group as do some of the utilities. When you trigger the ability that lets everyone's next attack do fire damage and suddenly half a dozen little mobs are on fire and no one is sure why, it's funny as heck.
