He says GW2 is unoriginal, if you made a post expressing your own opinion about why you think it is original, then you got a discussion, or why you think GW2 does have good gameplay and strategies.

Because of the title of the thread I'd guess. It's a trolling title. Also I dont get this "He's entitled to his opinion but no-one else is, if you express a negative opinion you should take meds". Is only the OP entitled to his opinion in your eyes? Me I mostly reacted to his bad attempt of trolling. For the record: I will be playing both WoW and GW2 so I'm not a crazy fanboy. (Apparently this is the get-out-of-jail card, since you're then able to label any post as fanboy posts)
It is kinda of a get-out-of-jail card, since if you don't incl. that in your post, you'll be met with meaningless responses like the OP, "Troll", instead of discussion. And now that people are done with calling OP all kinds shit, they turn their evil GW2 fanboy eyes at me, can't have someone on this forum who likes to see both positives and negatives discussed, it's IMPOSSIBLE! :P Just because OP didn't follow what you guys appearently think is a correct way to put up negatives to discuss, doesn't mean you can't discuss OP's points in a civil manner, instead of just dismissing it with "Troll", or just leave the thread all together. You could discuss why YOU think GW2 is original, why it got tactics involved etc. etc. But he is very much entitled to think GW2 is the biggest turd to ever come out of the gaming industry, if he wants.
So everyone is entitled to an opinion, and we shouldn't post negative comments in response to the op? Yet, our negative comments are our opinions, which we, according to you, are entitled to. So you post negative comments in response to our opinions, in which you state that everyone is entitled to an opinion, while also saying that we shouldn't post our opinion? So is everyone entitled to their opinion, or just you and the op? Is that it? A bit hypocritical isn't it?

If you honestly believe that the OP has got good intentions, then why hasn't he even bothered addressing any of the criticism? And don't tell me that the so-called hate has scared him off, as he wouldn't gotten this much hate if he hadn't created such an unnecessarily sensationalist thread.

Also there are discussions on various aspects of gameplay on these forums and why the game is not unoriginal. There is NO POINT in making a new thread about it. That's exactly what trolls do. I won't bother with this anymore it will be locked when a moderator awakes
Block the trolls, don't answer them, so we can remove the garbage from these forums
Guild Wars 2 isn't an original concept? Crap. This whole time I thought I was having FUN with something completely new in the world of gaming. Now the FUN I've been having is tainted. With FUN.
And I'm pretty sure DOTA came out before LoL, making your precious unoriginal as well. =P (Sorry, couldn't resist the childish urge there. I am a bad person.)

however the it's only his opinion does only take him so far, by that I mean you cant say for example, dont attack him for shareing his opinon, because the other people posting here are allowed to post their opinions just as much as he is allowed to post his.

while it would be funny(especially me picturing them drinking tea and wearing monocles as they say that) it's not going to happen.

what you are saying is he is allowed to come to a forum and basically insult a game, and that IS what he is doing, he wasnt respectfully ciritsizing he was just insulting, which is why people assumed troll.
It's like if I went up to trekkies dressed in star wars stuff and started bad mouthing star trek "it's boring and unoriginal and cant compare with Star Wars at all etc etc"
why is it okay for him to come and insult a game we love but we cant insult him back.
His opinon is are game is a pathetic unoriginal game while WoW and LoL is master.....while it is the opinion of the people before me who posted that he is a troll, jerk, ignorant, etc.
see both sides are expressing their opinions, the reason why you are getting hated on is you are saying taht he is allowed to express his opinion but everyone else is not.
me personally I could care less, while I do feel his post is a troll thread(again see the star wars star trek example) I tend to suck at insults and feel there is enough hatred on the interwebs.
so while I do agree with you, as in it would have been easier if they just ignored his opinion all together, others do have the same right he does to express opinions, even if they are just has hateful trollish and do not aid the game, forum, internet, or universe in general in anyway

I still think GW2 will be quite awesome, but if i want i can back it up with facts and have an objective view on it.
But well, wouldnt be fun if everyone has exactly the same perspective since only 1 game would exsist then.

This is not an opinion, it is an indictment that anyone with a differeing viewpoint is automatically wrong no matter what they may think or beleive. This entire post is not an opinion but a closeminded and antaogonistic rant backed up with zero actual ideas be they opinion or otherwise. Its exactly the same as another thread denouncing a unflattering GW2 bogger as an "idiot" without the accuser bothering to put any effort into explaining why he held this view. As if HIS word was LAW and no other evidence needed to be conveyed.
Moral of the story, if you decided to make an antagonistic and ego driven rant about a hot button topic, on a two year old account with zero former posts, expect your post to be taken as disingenuous, as its highly likely your post is nothing more than a throwaway used for no other intent than to stir up shit.
In the unlikely event that the OP is a lurker who finally decided to join in the fray, might I suggest you try to convey your thoughts with a bit more decorum and maturity with future postings. Then people may take your ideas seriously.

Maybe he should have chosen his words better to encourage discussion.. But dismissing everything negative with "troll" is just as bad... It's a forum, and we're here to discuss everything good as well as bad about games, that's how I see it.
Not really, I'm gonna play the game myself, there is things I like about the game, but I don't let it cloud my judgement.

I love GW2, and have no interest in WoW at this point.
Have tried kung fu panda expansion beta, and it's more of the same to me.
The GW2 beta felt more new and fresh.
This thread is one of the most intelligent, thought provoking, and insightful discussions I have seen in a long time.

If in 1982 we played with the current mentality, we would have burned down all the pac man games since the red ghost was clearly OP. Instead we just got better at the game.
