Lead Gameplay and Gameworld Designer for a yet unnamed MMO Title. "When people tell me designing a game is easy, I try to get them to design a board game. Most people don't last 5 minutes, the rest rarely last more then a day. The final few realize it's neither fun nor easy."
if no one is using the STO forums, that should tell you something about the popularity of the game. personally i wouldent play it, but that's just my biased, uninformed, non-star trek fan oppinion.
I think most people that are or would be interested are not keeping there hopes up and spending time dabbling in the sto forums. Mainly because the game last time I checked isnt coming out for another year or two, so they are spending more time on the games out know. That and the market is getting flooded.
On a side note. I cant wait to see what they come up with for the end product. Wether they flop or not it will be interesting.
Star Trek Online!! What the hell do you do on it I never acctually knew there was an online version... so do you play on it what do you do...? tell me by e-mail or leave a message on here...

A. The star trek online forums are actually very packed. Once it became official last february the official star trek site placed an official star trek online mmorpg in their links as seen here
and no...it isn't dead. Matter of fact the STO forums are so busy that they have to "storage" the older threads to make room for others. Why they do this I dont know. But their Star Trek online forums are actually more active than mmorpg.com...and we're pretty active. I have no idea where you got the information that their forums are dead (if your are talking about startrek-online.net ...that's a fansite page that the Devs send their information to once it's public. Its not the official forums....thats like going to IGN.com for WoW and thinking the WoW forum there is the official ones)
B. Paramount Studios has granted Perpetual Entertainment millions of dollars and license rights to produce this game. Perpetual Studios is only about an 9 man crew right now. Just like CCP was (EVE online) when they started out...so no bearucrated publisher making them do "certain" things to the game. Just as long as its canon it'll be fine.
D. The cast and crew of the original ST series and TnG series are actually helping out Perpetual Entertainment by giving advice on certain areas of the game.
E. It is actually one of the most highly anticipated mmorpgs for 2007....many of you just don't know it yet because it is so far in the future for a gamer point of view.
F. Funny how some of ya bust the game without even reading up on it, yet many of you get upset because there isnt any "innovative mmorpg ideas" anymore
I thought I should throw that in there before everything thinks that this game will be vaporware or similiar.
People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.

I'm sorry. What is STO?
In America I have bad teeth. If I lived in England my teeth would be perfect.
Star Trek Online
Now that i think of it, are you referring to Star Trek Online?
Meh, star trek sucks.
Doesn't the STO website have it's own forum?

For the original poster:
We cannot put a forum up yet.
Mainly because it wont be forwhile until the game is "almost here" and because we simply do not have the room for it.
