Pirate 101: Beta Invites On the Way

KingsIsle has announced that the closed beta for its upcoming title, Pirate 101, is underway. The first round of beta invites have been sent to players who recently signed up to participate.

In Pirate101, players take the helm of their very own pirate ship as they pursue an epic storyline of grand swashbuckling adventure. Intended to entertain a broad and cross-generational family audience, Pirate101 is accessible and simple to play for casual gamers, yet simultaneously offers systems with great depth and complexity for more sophisticated audiences.

    This looks like a fun game.  I can't wait to try the Shining Force like combat system.

    So, does free to play mean play until you get to lvl 15 (as in wizard 101)?

    My suggestion would be to join the Beta and suggest other approaches to the Devs.

     

    Seriously.

    I was a Wizard 101 Beta Tester and they did actually listen to us.

    There are several things in the game now that were put there / modified because of Beta Tester feedback.

    Nothing says irony like spelling ideot wrong.

    We're really hoping to win a Beta Game Key. Tonight is the last night we have a chance to win. We're crossing our fingers! Hope they do another beta key give away soon!

    Excited for game to start..... was hoping to be a beta tester, but with this mornings check of email sadly no luck:(.  Hoping there will be more chances for beta key oppertunities :)
