PS2/3 multiplayer RPGs?

Pretty simple, I'm looking for a console RPG for me and my friend to play together.  I'm open to any suggestions in terms of styles the only ones I really know of are the Champions of Norrath ones.  Also, I would prefer a PS3 game if possible, but PS2 works too if it's a better game.  So any suggestions would be much appreciated!

    There's multiplayer in Sacred 2 for PS3.

    Dark Souls has a co-op feature but it's really archaic and can be a pain to actually sync up with a specific friend.

    Dungeon Siege III is another option... though I haven't played it and I have no idea if it's actually any good.

    If you find anything good, it'd be great to hear of.

    Most obvious would have to be DC Universe Online no?
