How is it that these games come out with the artwork that a 12 year old can do? I looked at most of the armor they has been posted and its ugly. Not much of any of it makes me wanna be like "o man I look so cool, lets kill stuff."
Every part of this game has been epic that I have played. The environment is astounding. But then its time to make armor and weapons and they said "almost quitting time make something and wrap it up."
Sure not everyone will agree with me, but you gotta admit that a majority of it is just meh.
And don't say most of it you wear just for short time while u level cause u can transmute now so there should be lots of decent looking options. I feel as if its gonna be everyone running around in the same 1 set of armor that looks good, thus no diversity.

Some of it looks really good to me, other not good but it is easy to stay away from that.
The beuty is in the eye of the beholder...
And that is where you can either buy an armor skin from the cash shop or do harder content and earn better looking gear.

Please, enlighten us and teach those misguided 12 year old concept artists that work for ArenaNet how to draw better. Show your work.
Aesthetics are completely subjective thing. Personally I enjoy them. In large part They aren't overdone which is a good thing in my book.
Like at the bottom here?

Some of it is in the game or at least an iteration of it. Are there specific ones you don't like? The OP was kind of general. So far we've seen regular 1-30ish, dungeon vendor sets and the racial sets. There should be a lot we haven't seen yet.
I personally like how the dungeon sets are themed as if you were getting the pieces off mobs as you progress.
I would like to say I respect your opinion, though I disagree with you in a lot of ways. I think especially with the dye system I have always though I could make my character look good no matter what I had on and in a lot of ways the detail on each piece of armor is just flat out amazing. Just my two cents but I do understand where you are coming from I hope after playing it for a while you can find some armor and weapon skins that you enjoy.
Cause none of these look badass right?

The bottom left couldn't be better. The one above it is boring, but other than that, they look fine.

EXACTLY. I noticed he's already been reported. good thing too because claiming it's of twelve year olds is just not true.
Armor sets I must have:
My theme song.
All the armor artwork I've seen so far can be found ingame.
When you have the chance (maybe today's stress test), hop into the mists, go to your PvP locker and try out some equipment there. sPvP gear also mimics PvE gear, so you'll see dungeon sets, reputation sets, racial sets, etc. And you'll recognize it from the concept art.
I prefer a more realistic look to armour. Clean lines, smooth design, shaped to defelct blows away. I really don't like fantastical looking armour. All those bumps and spikes may look "cool" but really all they do is guide blows to vulnerable points. Armour like that would be worse than useless.
I know we're playing MMO's and it's meant to be fantasy but for me that doesn't mean armour should look rediculous. DAoC got it right with their armour designs up to ToA, not sure after that as I stopped playing. WAR also had decent armours. WoW's are downright fugly. GW2's seem ok for the most part but there's a few there that are a bit suspect.
I want my armour to look boring because then you know it works.
The more I see, the more I want. I need more storage space!
