Got my application approved a while ago, just got the net though at my new place...waited damn near 2 weeks+ for it, they shall burn for the pain that it caused me . Anyway got a mail while I was "absent for the net" saying I have till Oct 10th to hand in my resume and work I have completed. I am compling, finding, and storing all my work as I speak. Lots heh. At any expense hope to get it all done by Sat. and send in to you guys to be reviewed. Can't wait to join the staff, best of luck.

Probably near the end of Beta, or right before Beta begins if the characters transfer over to Live, but they probably won't. But they could open up right before Beta since CE GMs do invasions I believe, and not just run merchant events.
I was informed during an interview that they do training. I too shied away thinking i didn't have enough experience for a GM. Sent a application and am still waiting for a response. But the main reason I'm posting here is to inform you that they do train.
If I was jobless or having to much free time, I would have applied for a french server as a quest maker!
And to the guys who is doubtfull, what you need to understand is that the GM are not receiving a full blank check about what they do in the game, they are not alone on their own. They are part of a team and even if they do many mistakes, they always try their best and the basic is working.
For your exemple with airplanes, you exemple is good, but the airplanes is already built. They just design the inside, how peoples sit, how the alleys, the airports they stop in and so on. The basic is already there.
As for been not paid, well to me it look almost as fun as playing. The 1 year engagement is the aspect that deter me the most, not the not paid part (althought 15+ hours of this + another job might be a losing equation), as you never know, if you dont like that after 3 months and want to stop (many possible reasons), I am sure you can stop easily, especially since you are not paid, but it feel cheesy to, so it is a major turn off, but beside that, sound great (and they have to focus on peoples that remains for 1 year or more, learning curve and everything).
