In the spirit of Darkfall, I'd like to say "YOUR DEAD".
You are dead, you are so dead when I log into Darkfall. I don't even know who you are and I don't care! You are gonna die and I am gonna farm you for your loot. Its been building up and I'm gonna explode in Darkfall. So many players are going to die. So many.
Man its not even funny how much trouble you guys are in. Seriously.
As soon as I log in i'm gonna attack the first player I see for no reason and just try to kill and if I die i don't care as long as I can attack anyone i want freely.
Oh man. Let the chaos begin.

well if you attack just anyone for no reason, you turn evil right? and as evil you cant trade in towns and the like.. so it would be pretty hard life i guess.. so if he wants to be hunted thats fine ill just be the hunter
I generally hope there are a few people who plan to play like this. For every wannabe PKer there is someone who wants to hunt them. They add a diversity to pvp. Theres nothing wrong with a little bit of random n00b pking in any pvp game.
My most major concern is that people who whine about n00b ganking don't ruin this potentially great pvp game by forcing the hand of the developers to change the rulesets and add safezones/no loot etc.
In the spirit of Darkfall, I'd like to see a bounty system utilized to keep the uber-gankers in check. With that being said, a huge attraction for me about Darkfall is the excitement from danger and risk of being pk'd. This is real and this is immersive! But some people take it way too far and get joy only from ruining the experience of others.
Horsas, let me tell you what's really going to happen! Everyone, Dwarves to Alfar will loathe you. None will group or guild with you for long. Darkfall's inhabitants will hunt you down, bounty or no. You will generally be too occupied to make a career out of ganking any one person.
So indeed, let the Chaos begin!
MAN, I am going to kill to the highest degree possible in game. I am going to purposely kill noobies so those noobies will go into town and advertise my name to attract the more skilled players, then the more skilled players will try to come and get me and I will kill them too.
There will be such a huge slaughter that Darkfall will be forced to PATCH the game because of me. Then I will have a reputation of "The man who killed so much that they had to patch the game". In ultima online I killed so many innocent players I was notorious for being so DAMN EVIL and they patched UO after that.
I am seriously your worst nightmare.
Darkfall will turn carebear because of me. I will see to it.

The villagers in the surrounding hillsides will sing songs of my exploits and how I turned YOU into a Carebear! After I am done with you, you will get a lifetime subscription to Toontown Online and turn to drinking just to forget the humiliation you suffered at my hands!!
The first thing I'll do when I log in is aim for getting a ship then I'll become a pirate and sail around and kill peoples.

I think the bounty idea would be great.
There is the lowby who is the chum to the griefer.
Then there is the griefers that would feed off the lowbys--and the griefer would possibly get more trouble than what he was looking for FROM.....THE BOUNTY HUNTERS--The people that feed off the griefers.
Thats how it was in Shadowbane. I mean you had scouts that would gank the thieves who were trying to gank the lowbys. GOOD STUFF

People dont like to get camped and griefed repeatedly....
Im sure the company will work some sort of checks and balances to lowby griefing....even if its as unseen as people hunting the hunters.
It's going to happen. I expect it, I love pvp and thats all I play mmo's for. n00b PK/Ganking/Griefing are all parts of whats supposed to be ''hardcore'' pvp. The developers won't change a thing unless people whine and moan. So it's as much about the OP as it is about you moaning. Fact.
Nobody likes being ganked/griefed/n00b pked but everyone who is planning to play this game should expect it. So what do you do? You adapt to the situation, if someone is camping an area move, or wait for another high lvl to sort it. Most pvp games I have played for every n00b pk wannabe theres people willing to hunt them down.

You have a twisted view of MMORPG's, this is not wow - "its dicks that get the thrill out of being lvl 60 and kill lvl 3 peeps."
Which is a PvE game, the PvP is a complete joke imo for being in a MMORPG enviroment, it's more like mixed bag of mediocre ingredients.

iirl,
if you look at my user info you will see i am not 12, hell my oldest daughter is almost 10 and right now she sounds smarter than you. i dont play wow once i got to 60 and found no end game i canceled it. but since you imply i dont read anything about darkfall is a complete joke. i just have started following this game but have read all that i can about it. the open pvp is nice, and the fact that the town sieges will not be like shadowbane and the whole town wont be destroyed and the guild that owned it wont have to completely rebuild when they take it back is a nice touch since you dont have to start over from scratch...opps sorry shouldnt let you know i do know about this game some. i just hope they make the game as fun as it sounds.

No where on the site have I found anything that says there's a penalty.
Also take note, DF will have full loot.
Please let me know your characters name if you play DF, I will definately be ganking you and looting everything you have.

if ya read the overview on this site it has a q&a. it goes like this.
So you have an alignment in Darkfall?
Their answer---Yes. You start out with a neutral alingment, and based on your actions this alignment changes. Being regarded by others as evil is easy, just kill someone totally unprovoked, and voila you are evil, and will be killed on site by most city guards and other players. next question goes like this.
Dont you fear that out of control player killers will ruin the game?
answer--- No, being a random player killer of evil alignment is defenatly possible but also an extremely hard career. You will have enemies everywhere and will have a hard time finding a safe city to buy/sell in.
so id say there is a penalty but alot of people will forgo this and player kill. and ill be happy to kill you back. if this game ever makes it to release. its over 3 years since they wanted to run a beta and almost 3 years for release. just hope they get their crap together and finish or scrap it.
