I'm getting an update, looks like servers are going up again!

in Guild Wars 2

I just tried to login and it started updating, I won't hold my breath, but it looks like the servers are up again, here's hoping.

    hope your works... mine keeps getting connection issues while attempting to patch now.

    Mine is doing the same thing.  Trying to download but getting connection errors.  I guess this is what I get for sleeping through the night lol.

    Hmm.. I've noticed that to but mine is going 1KB/s after a couple of seconds i get a "Connection error detected. Retrying.."

     

    Please tell me someone is having the same issue. image

    Yep me and my friend too, we played lagless for a solid 7 hours non stop though, the first wave of disconnects didn't effect me and i played for a total of 9 hours before disconnecting, i hope the progress got saved.. No one else was able to get on at the time, think there where like 12 people on the entire EU piken square server.

     

    Pretty solid launch.. not surprised the servers got flooded, it was odd seeing them empty after the first wave of DC's haha.

    Yup, same issue here, but at least it seems like they're trying to push out a patch...progress...maybe...

    Mine hit 88% done then dropped like a rock to 0%.  Tried to do it again and its sitting at 0%.

    Yeah I picked up 88% of the original update before it went to 0 speed. Tried again and it went nowhere. Now it waffles between 1K and 0K for a few seconds, then shows a connection error.

    With all the Guildwars 2 players hitting the site here i am waiting for it to crash here also lol.  I know its moving slower going from page to page

    I think it's safe to say this is probably just as common an issue currently as error 42 was just prior to it.

    I wouldn't be surprised in the least.  Even MMORPG staff are posting "Nerd Rage".

    This is the case. We all get this error since there's probably a few hundred thousand, maybe even up to a million, trying to download this stuff right now.

    I managed to get about 5 hours (with occasional 15min kicking me out) this morning. Wasn't that bad, but I'm guessing when people started waking up (I was up at 6am), it's getting even worse.

    Hopefully the ANet engineers can work well under pressure, because they're sure as hell feeling it right now.
