Got Boxed Version - Can I Play Now?

I Pre Ordered the box version from Amazon and it arrived earlier today.  I've registered my serial code & downloaded the client.  It's updating now.

Now that I have a GW2 account will I be able to log in & play, or will I need to wait until the 28th?

 

I only ask because I know the digital version is live now, but for the people who bought boxed versions & have actually received them, are we able to play?

    but amazon emailed my key months ago -- I'm not sure how it will work for you

    OK, so does your key that came in the box match the key that was sent to you by Amazon?  Also, are you able to log in & play right now?  If so, I'm guessing my box key will work to allow me to play now.

     

    Just wondering whether I'll be able to play once it's installed.

    you should of got a pre-purchase( by e-mail) code that will not be the same has your box code.

    I pre-purchased from eb games and got a pre-purchse code in a empty game case months ago.

    I didn't get any codes from Amazon via email.  I only Pre Ordered the game, not Pre Purchased.  I just thought that if I had registered my GW2 game key and made an account, I'd be able to log in today regardless.

    im not sure how pre-order works but the 3 days was only for if you pre-purchased. Pre-orders get 1 day head start but at the eb games were i got my pre-purchase case with the code in it, they also had pre-order cases. I imagine they had a code also for the 1 day head start

    Afaik you can play only if you have separate key to access 3 day headstart. If you have 1 day headstart key, you should be able to play starting 27th. If you don't have any separate headstart key, you'll be able to play 28th.

    I just purchased a 1 day headstart key from gamesrocket.co.uk which was listed on the official GW2 website.

     

    I have received the code via email, although I'm not sure where to enter it now.  I already have a GW2 account, is there any way to add serial codes to the account?  Surely there must be as otherwise I've wasted my money :(
