...Its a regular fps but with a grind, that does not make it mmorpg in any way (persistent world is where?), persistent items & "xp" does not make an deathmatch fps fun.
Its not even mmofps (which is 100 or so people on a single map).
Did they ever fix that one single person can lag down the entire match & that high ping users cant be hit?
High ping users still cant be hit, but they can't hit you either.
you didn't mention the hacks, hackers make up 99% of the population
Uhm...I wouldn't compare this game to Unreal Tournament.
Unreal tournament is hard-core too, but it's nowhere as difficult as GUNZ.
Unreal Tournament may be less realistic than CS because it's a face paced fps.
GUNZ is even faster paced than Unreal.
But later on in the game, once you've mastered SlashShot, Butterfly, and FlashStep, or Silent dash, and Half-Step.
I think this is when someone could talk crap about this game, if they're still not satisfied.
GUNZ is pretty darn hard-core. Not everyone can do a FlashStep, and not everyone can Half-Step consecutively without messing up. Only now most international GUNZ players are doing SlashShot. And I still see alot of them mess up in the process, or they just aren't good enough.
This game is by far more difficult than any other FPS out in the market.
You may not consider this. But hit lvl 21 and then play against some good people who FlashStep mad crazy.
You're probably gonna wonder how some PROs do that.
IF anyone in this forums have anything to say about difficulty of GUNZ. I think you just haven't played enough.
Anyone who has mastered FlashStepping knows how much depth the key controls have in this game. And they will tell you, CS is like eating candy when it comes to dificulty.
GRIND sucks? You wanna be max level in a month?
Since when did society award easy-goers and lazy-fools?
MAKES ME PHOBIC OF STUPIDITY!
yup. game owns.
but i still havent been able to play it yet.
it doesnt have full NAT support. so im not gonna play till they fix that.
it seems lots of ppl are having problems with NAT stuff, so the comunity could b a lot bigger.
Gunz pwnz....Yes it has lag problems and Once you hiut lvl 21 you better be good at swords (I wasnt >_<) Slash Shot pwnz you left and right.
eh me and my friends played it a while back like right when it was released and didnt like it TOO much. it was grinding and people would find cheap weapons to use. there were problems with pings and lag. it was fun, but entertaining fun, not like bf2, or Hl2 or unreal fun to me. dont get me wrong its a good game. but its not GREAT.you can buy items and stuff but theres not much choice really. its a very competitive game though and it is true that there are a crapload of hackers. its not that bug a file so i suggest trying it out though you might get bored.
Is gunz online actually this good?

Skill factor CAN be a tremendous factor in this game. Key word can, because some people can just play in games like a deathmatch game and never choose to go the route of the Slash Shot and other advanced moves, as a result, there won't be much skill involved. Mastering all of the advanced moves will take a long time, and doing them fast is no simple task. It's fun to play, they just need to release the full version of the game for International, so we can have more stuff to do. Right now it's just getting boring with the lack of content.
Playing Korean Gunz you'll see a HUGE difference, at least 75% of the population Slash Shots, and the games overall are just more fun to play.
GunZ Online isn't what I thought it to be when I visited Korea. Yeah sure there would be some things that would interest me but overall I'd give it a 6 out of 10! But this is what an overall is for me...
Good things about GunZ Online:
It is sort of like CS:S and F.E.A.R, You can buy weapons such as swords, guns a/o clothes. There is this kind of speed boost of whenever you double tap one of the W,A,S or D keys. There are DM, TDM servers, you can pick up to about four or five different characters. (Don't know how many you can pick) And most of all you can add friends to your FriendList!
Bad things about GunZ Online:
The graphics are BAD!! I had expected better when I saw the Screenshots taken as Anime! There are alot of Noobs from where I played. (except in Korea, where I always got my ass kicked) The servers are always full and you have to wait quite a while until its not full. And you have to kill to get a bounty point! (Which isn't really bad)
Hmm I used to play Gunz Online, when the Internation Beta was only released for a few weeks. It was pretty good, but to be honest the lag really p*ssed me off. I could tolerate the graphics, since I loved dashing around and was pretty damn good at it. I dont understand all the slashdot/dash terms, but I'm pretty sure I've been able to pull these off quite easily.
I've still got it installed I think, but to be honest the game doesnt make much sense. Like all other Korean games, your just grinding for the sake of it. I appreciate that this isnt the Storyline kinda game, however even the class selections make very little sense.
Anyways, I'm gonna give it another go and see if anything has improved.
