One thing I have to say, I love the way they implemented the skill progression with weapons.
Most MMO's you just keep fighting and killing stuff and you aquire new skills and new abilities. But in GW2 you actualy have to use the weapon you want to improve to learn new skills with it.
What I mean is it doesn't matter how much or how skilled I am with a sword, if I change my weapon and decide ti use an axe I need to train and learn how use this new weapon.
So whichever weapon you decide to use you need to train how to use that specific weapon. And that's ... for me, so obvious. It doesn't matter how skilled I am using a pistol, if I want to use a knife instead, I need to learn how to use it It, because it is a totally different technic.
I haven't seen this kind of skill learning/progression system since SWG. And I thought it was such an obvious/natural thing that I was amazed that no other game had implemented it so far (exception maybe for EVE but that is such a unique learing system that I'm not taking it in consideration).
I haven't played GW2 very much yet but, what I have seen so far I really liked. And this skill system IMHO is just great!! I love it.
Thanks ANet for a great game. It's been years since I got so excited about a new MMO.
