My specs: Duel Core, 3ghz, about 5 years old - 4gig ram (generic) - Geforce 550 Ti
On average I get about 30 fps on the first beta Nvidia driver, with this new one I get around 41 fps, so a nice boost.

The login servers were rammed yesterday, and I kept disconnecting with lag also, and had problems getting in.
Once I was in and it had been sorted I had no problems with the driver.

You are so 'cool' for having found these driver 2 whole days before this post and more so for taking the trouble and feeling compelled to mention it like that.
This topic is posted to give feedback on these drivers not to have 'teh scoop omg this news iz like tw0 dais oldzz' ....
I cant believe no one has bother to reply to you, you are right the higher the rate of FPS the better the game works FPS= Frames per second, more frames the smooth is the transition between the actions taking place, like in older movies when you see the choppy scenes is because of low frame rate or FPS.

55-60 FPS is good.
Some "experts" say you can't even notice/see over 60.
A lot of console games only run at 30.
I think he meant that there have already been at least two threads on this topic already and you started a 3rd.

There Is Always Hope!
Figured out that AO (Ambient Occlusion) was the issue. Turned it off in the Nvidia Control Panel. No issues now.. slight increase in FPS at this point.
nice. Getting other people to test this for you.

These drivers boosted my performance pretty significantly on my GTX 570!
Note: After a patch, my performance plummeted again. To fix it, I turned VSync off then back on, frame rates went back up where they should be. If you are having FPS issues, try toggling the VSync setting. There must be some sort of bug involved. No issue between sessions, unless there has been a patch, after which sometimes this issue returns. Glad for the easy fix.
Want to know more about GW2 and why there is so much buzz? Start here: Guild Wars 2 Mass Info for the Uninitiated
This is from Geforce.com:
August 28th Update: We can confirm that the GeForce 306.02 beta drivers feature a Guild Wars 2 SLI profile that was undocumented in our release notes. As you may be aware, Guild Wars 2 is heavily CPU-bound, and on Kepler GPUs this may result in negative SLI scaling (a lower frame rate when playing with SLI enabled).
At this time we can also confirm that the Ambient Occlusion profile added to the game yesterday can result in certain pieces of terrain becoming transparent. If you experience this issue, simply turn off Ambient Occlusion in the Guild Wars 2 NVIDIA Control Panel profile.
I made a post in the comments and an Nvidia rep said they are working on fixing the issues with Ambient Occlusion for this game.
Also the SLI profile definately worked. Before I was dipping down to 40 fps with my GTX 580 SLI. After the patch, it is at a steady 60 fps with every setting at maximum and at 2540x1440 resolution.
Yes because i totaly do not dare to risk a driver rollback for myself ..... Get real >.>
Anyway ,
I did a clean install of this driver
I see some mixed results but usually hear about a fps boost for most people. I on my 560ti had a very nice fps boost actually , without Vsync i get anything between 50 and 120fps. This driver coupled with my newly tweaked settings for both with V-synch (PvE) and withouth (PvP) makes for A LOT more of a responsive and fluid game. Coincidentally i ran into that huge boss in the swamp (human area) again after having installed the drivers. With my fist encounter with this boss stil;l fresh on my mind it made for a good stresstest on these drivers and i can say that the difference was big ! The entire fight went really smooth compared to the fight on the previous driver "304.76".
Really the game now almost runs as smooth on my rig as Aion does ,which is quite a bit lighter to run ,im impressed! ...with both this new driver and the game itself btw
Actually my fps went a little worse....
660 TI.
I have more stuttering now. And it stutters more when theres many people on the screen.
