Fishing

in Guild Wars 2

With all the bodies of water  and underwater combat,different zones,fresh/saltwater, it would have seemed fishing would have been a perfect  fit in this world. There is cooking and fish can be cooked. Fishing is one of the  gathering jobs that i seem to have the most fun with in games, mainly cuz its really random with what prize you will have on the end of the line and it would push you to go adventure off the beaten path and or revisit old/lower level zones for rewards. So i just say sadface that it wasnt in gw2. Besides missing that im liking the game so far.

Oh yea player housing would have been cool too.

    I'd love to see it too, and my guess is they'll add it someday.

    For now, you can pluck some of the fish out of the rivers by hand :)

    As the previous poster indicated, we have noodling, what else is needed?  After all, noodling is significantly more macho.

    You can fish.  Just not with a fishing rod.  You can spear fish, harpoon fish, and ... trident fish.

    So you want it to be like every other MMO out there - OH let's go fishing - puh!!!

     

    I don't want player housing either - keep it in other games.

    I believe they have fishing for post-release update, as well as player housing. Just right now their focus is on getting all the other problems fixed.

    Yeah! Let's get rid of PvP and crafting too! Lets the other games have that silly stuff! Phooey!! :-P

    There's also several houses in the home instances which can be entered and "lived" in for the time being.

    But yeah... fishing and housing will make it in, I am sure.

    There's a reason why no cooking recipe has a "fish" ingredient. Arenanet is keep its options open for future exploration

    fishing would be ok, and player housing would be ok but what I would really like to see is another 50~ish more emotes.

    All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.

    I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.
