Any goal after lvl 20

Florian007Florian007 Member Posts: 11

I heard the max level you can be is level 20.
When you reached that level, is there any goal or something to do more, like quests or any hunts... or is it just finished when you reached that level...

So what I mean is: Is there ant reason to play when you got it... (when there is, say all the things you can do more to still have fun)

At 20 you have all the good skills needed for pvp which I suppose is the main thing to do after your 20

Level 20, doesn't mean a thing.  Get elite skills, finish the rpg, get uber gear.  Unlock all the upgrades and runes.  Compete in Pvp.  All the good stuff is when you are level 20.  You will need more than level 20 to unlock all the primary and secondary skills for that character.

Ya you hit lvl 20 about halfway to 3/4 through the RPG part of the game. If you wanted to stick to RPG reasons to play you'd hunt for elite skills and items. While moving toward the end game. Once you beat the game you can play the same duegons again, and again or PvP. Of course you can PvP right from the begining too.

Um, no. You don't have squat for skills yet when you first hit 20.

That's the thing: it's not supposed to be hard to get to max lvl. 20 isn't the end of the game by any stretch; it's more of a beginning.

People dont understand that the point of playing this game isnt to reach a max lvl. The key points in GuildWars are unlock skills/weaps/armor/upgrades/etc, play GvG (Guild vs Guild) in a bunch of theme maps, PvP, Underworld, Fissure... whatever plenty of things. So when you reach max lvl there're so many things you can do that there isnt enough space here to enumerate all of them ! Get one things in your head: LVL IN GUILDWARS MEANS ALMOST NOTHING !!!!

This has been brought up so many times, but I have to reiterate what has already been said. MAX LVL DOES NOT MATTER in Guild Wars. I have a guildee who I have been helping along in the game for a little bit of time now, he is level 19 and just now starting to get the hang of the game. He is stumbling and learning and falling into lvl 20. Lesson? Just because you are lvl 20 doesnt mean you're Uber and just because you are lvl 20 doesnt mean a lvl 15+ cant kick your but in PvP. If you do most of the quests and mission/bonus you will be lvl 20 by the time mentioned by Bent 1/2-3/4. There is still so much of the game left, besides grabbing elites and the such.

If it is your first character, you will be level 20 before getting close to finishing the PvE side of things. This game is not meant for people who hope to grind lvl upon lvl ala WoW and EQ2. This is meant for: learn skill, learn effects of skill, learn effective skill combos and learn to operate in a group to destroy people in PvP. People who are just hoping to spent 17hrs a day playing, hoping to get items that no one else will get because they dont have the time, are going to whine and complain about being bored.

There are challenges in capping skills because of the increased difficulty of the bosses, but no where near impossible because the dev's want you to capture the skill and go use them in PvP..the core of this CORPG.

Have fun with the game, there is no grind...
New skills and weapons are all you will find.

When you get bored of the PvE...
Know that around the corner is PvP.

    Have fun and remember...its only a game.::::20::

After reaching max lvl there is still many challenging quests with bigger rewards, worth of doing. If you want to cap all skills in the game it requires many many hours of playing to get skill points and find elites.

But I prefer the PvP side of the game. Being a powerful in arenas requires beating the pve side with at least one class.

There are the new areas like Sorrow's Furnace that can only be explored once you have the power of a lvl 20 character.
