The Map

I must admit that this is the best map layout I've ever seen in a rpg game. It's like you'r watching the real zones from high above in the air. Not just a drawing picture map and a tracking cursor.  And so many details! I'm impressed. So far this is the most entertaining game I've played since WoW BC.

The music is nice too. Let me not start with the crafting beast.

Anyway going back ingame brb. :)

Music is the science of manipulating people trough sound.

I didn't think about it so much while playing, but yes, it is a very good map. Both useful and visually pleasing.

I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.

The music in the Norn area is quite inspiring. Easily some of the best ingame music Ive heard in a mmo since Vanguard.

If you guys like the map, check out this video of some never before seen images of the WHOLE map of Tyria.  Long video but cool if you are looking to pass the time.

Guild Wars 1 also uses the satellite/"Google Tyria" style map.  Obviously it didn't have the levels of zoom that GW2 has, but it's also using older technology.
