You know what really astounds me? - How can you invest 120 hours of gameplay in 10 days. You know what kind of average you get out of there, right?
It's 12 hours per day!! Even in my glory days in college with practically unlimited time and no responsibilities I hardly ever broke the 8 hour barrier.
Now I work 50 hours a week, so yea. 4% and 9 hours played.

I can't figure it out either. How do you earn a living playing a game 10 hrs a day? I need all of your jobs. I have a stable of lvl 10 - 15 approx 30 hrs played...I think 10% complete.
Ive got 163 hours across all my toons. But I also have the luxury of a job that allows me to work from home and do an average of like 20 minutes of actual work a day. Also get lots of overtime in while playing on the weekends, and 12 hours of OT with about 10 minutes of work on Labor Day :-)

That's ridiculous, GW2 is your life, you spend more time playing GW2 than absolutely anything else except breathing air.
What job do you have?

121 hours across 5 characters(Ok, mainly just 2, the other 3 are mules currently) with 62% complete.
Just cleared Frostgorge Sound.
When I feel a bit of "burn out" on my Guardian(Orr sucks pretty hard) I switch to my Thief. Yeah, Im doing the same zones but the gameplay is completely different so it feels new.
heh highest character here level 21 .. total /age 74 hours 15% map completion.. but to be fair I did delete a level 20 character and have 2 other level 15s and a level 10 and a level 8
I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. This is the point i'm trying to make in another thread. It's not that these level 80 players are playing it wrong to get bored, they're playing to much!
You are exactly right and it is one of the problems with the genre. People that sit so far outside the norm as to have play times that are 4 and 5 times the average player are the loudest, the angryest and most passionate. Developers absolutly can not cater to them. There are simply not enough resources int the world to feed thier insatiable appetites for content. To bring the disscussion back to GW2, it is rediculous to play a game for 100+ hours finishing less than 50% of Map PvE content not including dungeouns or crafting (map exploration has nothing to do with these two) and then complain about lack of content or being bored at 80. That's not even including PvP (err does map completion include the 4 WvW maps??).
To say your bored with a game after playing a game 10 hours a day for 12 days straight is preposterous. If the game was boring you would have quit after 20 or even 40 hours. If we need to play a game for 1000 hours before we decide if a game is worth playing there is either something very wrong with genre or something very right.

Soooooooo.... You gonna share what your job is? Please?
Many of the people who are playing long hours do not have a career other than student. They may work, however, it is typically an hourly type job with a limited number of hours. In addition if you dont watch TV that alone can add an extra 21+ hours in a week. The typical person who works a typical job will watch TV from 7pm to 11pm even if they dont play games. Substitute that TV time to Game time and allready you have 40 hours of /played. If you consider someone then who might only work 20 hours a week and boom you have someone who can play 8 to 10 hours a day. This will of course level off as school starts for those people. In addition as the newness of the game wears off those who spent enourmous amounts of time will likely get burnt out and cut their playtime down significantly.
The graph is still a good indication of how many hours of content are avaiable for the average player. The average player isnt going to blow through content in a supergroup. They are going to take the time to craft, socialise, pvp a little, run storymode etc. Each individual will do things a little differently and as most of the results show, the majority of the people still spend about the same amount of time on map completion after doing all of the other side things available in game.
I am not completely sure on my numbers at the moment as my account has been hacked to some extent and I can not log in atm. I had around 42 hours played and around 13% completion. Lvl 32 mesmer.
I think very few people will get 100% map completion with a single character unless that is their thing. More than likely people will end up with 100% completion across all characters as they level up with other races. In the end what will keep people going on this game is the WWW and future expansions with additional content.
35 hours...lvl 27...7% complete lol...I dont want to leave the starting area, having too much fun leveling with friends as they join the game. Talk to me again in 2 weeks.
I also want to ask if GW2 is the only game they play, but I think that was obvious. I also play Blur, Skyrim, Sleeping Dogs, and LA Noire depending on my mood. But majority of my gaming time is spent on GW2.

82 hours, 52 percent, level 51
It's not entirely accurate as i left the pc afk for a hour at a time sometimes, but most of that is just no-life non stop playing.
Doing the low level areas first, working my way up ( all 1-15 zones, 15-25 zones, etc )
Some people here are completely insane.
74 hours and 14 minutes, lvl 54 and 24% completed
85 hours, 19% complete

When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world.
