1. leveling system means u have to keep playing to keep up
2. PVP servers you get ganked all the time so it slows you down soo much, specially as priest.
3. With the new changes meaning you have to PVP honour kill all the time to be able to wear ur gear means that u hav to always play or u'll lose rights to wear it.
I don't see any need for death pen on PVP servers

Did you post this just for the sake of posting?
1. The quest system actually benefits casual players. It means that you can log in with a minimal amount of time and get something done, while enjoying the experience. Questing is the most effecient means of leveling, and more so with rested xp.
2. I play on Azgalor, a high population pvp server, and have in recent months been leveling a druid. I've yet to experience any amount of ganking that would prevent me from questing. If you're leveling a priest, go with a shadow template at first. ^_^
3. I could've missed the memo, but I'm able to wear gear that I've obtained when I was at a higher rank.
IMO, WoW is the best suited MMO for the casual player. Hence, why I still enjoy the game.

Oh, cruel fate, to be thusly boned. Ask not for whom the bone bones. It bones for thee.
Yeah they changed up the item thing if you were at any time that rank you can wear it from what iunderstand. The pvp ranks did kinda get me cause the do degrade but to me that just means i need to kill more people. The worst thing to fear on a pvp server is a bored lvl 60 rouge and maybe a druid cause you wont see em coming other then that it doesnt seem so bad there are gankings just like with any pvp server on any game tho. And rest exp is your friend make an alt switch up and then come back for your lvl of rest exp

1) it is true the opposite. Even if you stop playing for some time, you acquire "rested" status: 200% of experiecen for around 1 full level and then half that. Grind in WoW is practically non-existant and quests makes for a more enjoyable, casual and faster experience.
2) "ganking" and "PvP" kinda go hand in hand, but you can choose a pve server or a rp server and never fear that. Plus, dying in PvP gives you 0 penalty, can you find any pvp game more casual friendly than this? i doubt.
3) The PvP system is designated to please the not-so-casual crowd as most casual players do not engage strenuosly in PvP. Blizzard's design is to have the casual fill in the rank and file troops (rank 1-6) while others, not so casual, fill in the high positions. The good is that you get nice rewards even in ranks 1-6 so i do not see the problem. Oh yeah: couple patches ago they changed it so now you can wear all items of the ranks you ever attained.
"If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, if you teach him how to fish, you feed him for a lifetime"
That's odd. I'm a casual player that plays 2 to 5 hours of WoW a day depending on how much homework I have, I'm able to do MC raids and farm a high level instance once a day without any problems.
Yes PVP servers suck @$$ cause of the ganking, hence the reason I DO NOT PLAY ON STUPID PVP SERVERS!
And FYI, even a casual player can become grand marshal by just getting 1k honor points a day with just 1-2 hours worth of PVPing! It all depends on your servers!

Keep up with who? the more hard-core type guys? True, but thats true in any game. WoW's quick leveling allows even the most casual player to reach the highest level. True it might take him more time, but its still possible.
If you can't handle getting ganked, then don't play on a PvP server then go whine on forums. Being ganked is part of the PvP experience And priests don't get ganked more than any other class (well except rogues because they can more easily get away).
What new changes are you talking about? The only changes I'm aware of are making it easier to gain rank. And you don't have to wear PvP gear, in fact PvP gear is only so-so, there is much better gear to be had.
There is no death penility for dieing due to PvP...unless you choose to resurect at the graveyard.
If you are going to whine about why you don't like WoW at least come up with some valid arguements.
I rate this a 0 out of a possible 10 on the whine scale, kthxbye.
As a 55 Priest.
On a pvp server.
Non-shadow spec.
I'd just like to to take this opportunity to say... You, sir, are a maroon.
I have roughly 13 days played so far, which includes a good amount of time spent in the BGs at 29, 39, and 49. I've had no problems leveling. Yeah I get ganked from time to time. I just go back, and go back to what I was doing. 9 times out of 10, the player that ganked me isn't there anymore. On the rare occasions that they stick around? I leave and go level somewhere else.
Re: Pvp honor gear. Even if you lose your rank, you can still use the gear now. This change went in 2, 3 patches ago?
There is no death penalty.
Do you even play this game?
i wouldn't call up to 5 hours a day casual. casual is like 2 or less hours a day.
Even on 2 hours a day you can get alot done or BG. The 200% rest xp helps with leveling. Overall this is a casual game.
2 or less hours a day? Why bother playing at all?
MMO's are a huge timesink, and if, for whatever reason, you only have an hour or two a night to play, why not just go with a single player game, or even something like BF2, or Diablo 2 even. Or if you're well and truly hellbent on the MMO aspect for some reason, Guild Wars even. Even as easy on the grinding aspect as WoW is, it'd take forever to get through the later levels with only an hour or so a night. Hell, I know a few people that only have a couple hours a week to play.
And many of these '1-2 hour a night/week' people are just as bad as the Asian farmers, and Ebayers in terms of how they affect the overall game. I've seen them on numerous forums, across all the MMO's, whining that things should just be handed to them, because it's not fair that the people that put in 30 hours a week have better gear and get to see all the cool high end content, while they're still trying to complete their first quest. Sure not all of them feel this misbegotten sense of entitlement, as I'm sure some of you will say you only play one hour a night, and aren't a whiner. Many of them are though, and there seems to be alot of them. Maybe someday someone will take them aside and drive home the concept that you only get out as much as you put in.
I'm about as casual as you get and i'm doing fine.

lol. this had to be a joke. Well done OP, you fooled us all into thinking you were serious (including me). lol.
Sorry but you're wrong. I played WoW for about 2 hours a day and got to level 55 in 5 months. Granted some people got to level 60 in 16 days, playing 2 hours is still viable for any game, including WoW.
It's not about getting to the finish line, it's about the journey.
Well there you have it. Further proof that the people whining for special treatment due to limited play time need to quit crying.
PS: I realize getting to 60 can be done while playing a couple hours an evening, I was thinking more in terms of doing the end game content like MC, or BWL, which not only takes a good bit of time, but is generally limited to being in an 'uber' guild, most of which require members to be pretty active players. Though MC gets done by alliances of 'slightly less than uber' guilds now, I still have doubts that people who are only able to play an hour or so will be seeing much of it. WoW, and to a lesser extent EQ2, are somewhat bad examples, though, as they are not nearly as bad as EQ, et all. were in terms of time commitment for the high end raid content. They also don't feature xp loss on death, so there is no losing your level like back in the good ole days.
On a side note, towards the end of EQ2 beta, I was looking around at some of the websites of various raiding guilds that were planning on moving to EQ2. One blew my mind by having a list of b]required[/b] playtimes for potential members. I believe the lowest was 40, or 60 hours a week, with the highest being 100 hours a week. I doubt they made it very far once the reality of things set in, but it still made me cackle at the time
