    It's a golf game.  If you like them then definetly go for it.  I played SHOT online before and I don't actually like Golf games.  I enjoyed it until my trial was over.

    Now then, Ive heard Shot Online was pretty good, I havnt played it myself though. You'll jsut have to take the trial and see if you like it.

    I think it's the objective of your past self to make you cringe.

    There's no trial, the game is totally free to play. The whole "free till level 10" thing is referring to greens fees, which won't cost you in-game currency till level 10.

    Anyway, if you have patience and are looking for something different, give it a shot. It's a nice and friendly game, can make a lot of friends there.
