Hi-Rez Studios has released a brand new trailer featuring the next god to make an appearance in SMITE. Thor, the God of Thunder, is profiled showing off his skills and abilities along with some of the Nordic lore behind this mighty hammer-wielding warrior. Check it out!

    Hm, love the game, don't like the colors.

    I know the old WAR/Wow debate on models but I have to say this looks more like an alliance npc guard than the god of thunder, I say this because all the other gods are highly Iconic.

    Where are the ravens, and other things associated with the mythos, dark colors for instance.

    The hammer is rather meh too, considering it's practically Thors life force entertwined.

    This character needs to represent Yggdrasil and not the comics

    still looks far better than the movie thor. pfftt.. the movie was even highly succesful, wonder what kind of shit ppl have inside their heads these days. but on topic, to me he looks cool, but not his 1-3 skills. none of them has anything to do with his "god of thunder" title. his ultimate is pretty awesome, but other skills, they are very much not god like.

    so.. if its thor - god of thunder - how come there is no thunder based attack as well ? Just your oridinary brutish attacks... fail

    They really didn't go to the original myths for inspiration. It seems more like they just watched the Avengers movie and based Their Thor on Marvels. Too bad really the Poetic Eddas have some of the best mythical stories to draw from.

     

    Also i was really surprised to see Kali still in the game. i figured they would have changed the name or taken her out altogether, because of the protest from that civil rights group, or whoever they were.

     

    Oh what's messed up, if you google "Thor" the marvel comics link comes up before the Mythological link...lol
