Irth Offline?

Uh oh.  News is filtering out that Irth just laid off a bunch of people.  Must be running out of cash.   I hope they don't pull a Mourning and start charging people money for pre-orders right before they pull the plug.

    How many is "a bunch of people"?  They only had about 10 people to begin with.  And most of them are just family members.

    hmm, seems he has some inside info while not even the beta testers who communicate with devs hasnt noticed anything...

    There may not be preorders because this game will be available through net only

    Magic Hat Software hasn't asked any beta tester for credit card info.

    Their site shows a bunch of people there. The only odd thing is some of the names do not match up.

    If this is true it certainly would raise a red flag to those looking at the game.

    Yeah, the names don't match. Jared seems to be gone. Did anyone ever find out what happened to Nix and Westy?

    Jared isn't his real name

    Nix left for other things about same time when Jared joined

    Dunno about Westy...

    Jared Smith used to be on the website. You're not the only fan of the game Kishe!

    I have been watching this game for months, including when they made BrawlKing a dev (lucky b*stard) so I have been watching the site for when they have a new opening.  If you look on the bottom of the page Matt's name doesn't match up with the Kevin description below it. I know they are busy putting out patches and stuff like that so it's okay as long as they finish the game faster!

    Some say Jared actually left for other things.

    I asked the developers themselves...there has not been any large layoffs, just Jared leaving...The company is still well funded and capable.

    It looks like the developers' claims of being wellfunded is just another lie.  They are rushing out an unfinished game to suck in as much money as possible.  If they are so well-funded, they would finish developing this game before releasing it.  They're hoping that their loyal fan-base would just fork over their money in blind-faith.  Nice way to treat their loyal fans.

    Maybe this thread should be titled Irth Off It's Rocker! The decision to release it seems crazy. Peashooter makes a good point. If the beta testers are telling the devs that the game is not ready and they plan to release it anyway, it is like they are flipping the fans off.
