What Your Favorate Class To Play?

Im just wondering what everyone favorate class (or "profession" if it is a skill based game) is to play in MMOS.

I like mages and archers. I think its cause they are the 2 most powerful classes in any game.

The paladin has always been ranked as one of my favorites.  Beyond that it varies.  I've never been a very big fan of playing rogues though in any fantasy based game.

Mage. Not for the fight power but for the roleplay. I like to play an erudite, a man of knowledge. However sometime I like to change and play a thief for fun ;) as an alt.

But class is MMOs are always the same. They need change, nex type of gameplay, not the boring and eternals Warrior/Mage/Thief classes.
Why not mix, like battlemage, alchemist as real class who craft potions and specials materials for his weapons...

And.... sorry for my bad english :p

    Werewolf!

Ah wait..that's my dream game. Is anyone familiar with the D20 system called Iron Kingdoms?  That would make a nefty MMOG.

Any class that gets to swing two big axes.  I am all about destruction. image

A warrior type class, but I do like Warriors who actually do damage, and sometimes I like warriors who are pure tanks. Depends on my mood.

personally for the purpose of the thread would say rogue or mage.. its fun to be sneaky and nuke

but really someone needs to come out with a game that utilizes not a set class but a large skill chart to go off of.. you could make fast character creation for people that dont like indepth.. or you can make your character have any skill.. i really get tired of the boring.. you are this and can only do this.. where is the reality in that? people should have all sorts of skills the use.. just a thought

Usually when I start, tanks with lots of hitting. No relying on a lucky shot doing massive critical damage for me. Damage over time. Later on I usually try some support or ranged classes.

I always go for a healer/buffer class. You can always get into a group, plus in most games people really appreciate a dependable healer, where the average healer lets their HP get really low before they bother healing.

Have to say healer/cleric type ... lineage 2 was good as a oracle nice combo of CC and healing made you feel a bit more usefull than just healing ... I like being able to buff ppl and help others out if they are in trouble ... and EQ1 was da bomb with being able to get aa's to improve your class ...

Ahem, SWG (Yes, if you've noticed I'm going on SWG pimping binge image) has this.  You could be a Rifleman with a bit of Combat Medic, BH.  There are no limits on what professions can be mix and matched but you do have a limit on how many you take up.  Each skill box uses a certain amount of skill points which takes away from the 250 total skill points you have available.

Good thing mmorpg.com doesn't have an MMO made, if we did, my god, we would be pretty tank-less.
