I used to play eve for long time with many accounts. While it was fun while beeing in school, once I got a job i didn't had the time to dedicate to farming. Luckily world of tanks appeared and voila pvp without farm.

The problem is i like more space ships than tanks, and eve imerrsion was better.

Do you know if there are any plans in eve to launch some premium space ships that can be bought and which after you die respawns in your hangar (with modules) ? They don;t have to be uber powered , something between cruisers and battlecruiser will do it, just to not have to do all the hauling from jita etc. Going for a new ship 20 jumps away was pretty much killing the fun.

No that would pretty much kill EVE. The "shop" you are looking for is called the market and the currency is called ISK. Set up multiple ships to have ready before you fight and keep them where your medical clone is = problem solved.

Holy crap no. That is pay to win, and would kill Eve. That crap might work for other MMOs but definitely not Eve!

    Where's the any key?

They had plans to release a battleship via the item shop without a trade in and saw absolutely no reason why it would be a problem; nor did the CSM seem to have a problem with it at the time and those people are mostly still the csm today...

They said they are going to focus on convenience in the item shop moving forward and what you typed would be very convenient so there will probably be something like what you are talking about in the future.

    "something between cruisers and battlecruiser"

If thats all your interested in you can make enough ISK to pay for that with an hour or so a weeks worth of play.

The CSM at the time actually had a pretty big problem with the proposed Ishkuone Scorpion not requiring a T1 ship trade in. CCP asked the CSM if they had a problem with the skin being sold for AUR, not the whole ship. And then "creatively misinterpreted" the CSM's response.

To see why it would be a problem, put yourself in the position of the owner of a Scorpion BPO.

``One of the cool ships was the Ishukone Watch Scorpion battleship which we brought to the CSM. They got to see a little better view of it than just a screen shot posted in a video broadcast and they thought it looked pretty cool. One of them will likely chime in about it or you'll see it in their meeting minutes which I know they are working on.

So I presented our dilemma to them.
EVE players need to be in control of the EVE economy as much as possible. That's not just a marketing claim, that's what we really believe.

And if we sell a battleship in a store, that transgresses this important principle.

"Shall I hold this until the store properly supports BPCs or a Scorpion trade-in? Or shall I start selling it now for 3-4 months and then change how we sell it later?"

The CSM had one big question:
-Is there any difference between the Ishukone Watch Scorpions sold whole and the ones sold in trade in?
    (The answer is no.)

They said yes, you want players in control. You want players buying Scorpions from industrialist players. Absolutely. But in this case this is not likely to hurt the EVE economy because initially people will only buy these ships as a collectible and for fun. This will not affect their purchase of Scorpions for actual fleet warfare. They will still buy as many Scorps - this would just be on extra out of their bling money.

So they recommended we go ahead and begin our learning curve and get the fun ship into circulation.``

By that time, no-one believed that CCP would ever "get around" to finishing the development to require a T1 ship to trade in. The excuse lacked credibility to begin with because all the LP stores work on the trade-in mechanism already.

Anyway, sense was seen and the bad idea was scrapped.

So getting back to my point it wasn't CCP or the CSM that saw the problem with allowing a ship to be bought with cash money without a trade in and if they didn't see a problem with something as no-brainer and cut and dry as that; what do you think will happen when they start selling something as murky as "convenience items" with their short cuts and fast tracks?

Nothing is truely scrapped - it was just taken off the table (for now).

Since we spent quite a lot of effort in explaining to CCP the consequences of cannibalizing the player built supply chains in order to try and realise a quick buck, I think it will be quite a while until they try something so brain-damaged again.
