I actually like quest hubs, for what thats worth, the titan project still looks like vaporware at this point, i cant believe its possible to keep anything so secret these days ???
Never because a lot of people are actually complaining about not having quest hubs. So billzard will keep them to keep that market share.
I saw someone mention TSW as innovative... not really. Adding in Mist style puzzles and making your game more like a single player RPG doesn't innovate.
It's all very subjective, I think. To you, TSW isn't really innovative, to others GW2 isn't really innovative, again others think both have innovative elements (me) and other others think both aren't really innovative. It's all relative, the man Einstein alrdy said it.
Both games don't really innovate in terms of questing design. GW2 has the potential to make their system more dynamic though with a few tweaks since each DE and zone has 1-3 paths the quests chains can go. The problem is, they aren't hard enuogh to force players into the "failed zone" or the "we lost the battle but won the war" chain. ANET should force losses IMO to show people how dynamic the event actually can be.
Blizzard will teach the industry what *real* innovation means. With Titan I´m pretty sure they come up with more than yellow circles and a "dynamic" quest log.
No need to copy anything from GW2 (please, no cow feeding Blizzard.. please).
Further *real* innovation, look at World of Darkness and TSW
Like Blizzard showed us such amazing innovation after 7 years of development on Diablo 3.
I hope Titan is great but not holding my breath expecting it to be.

TSW skill wheel is just arenanet's own GW1 skill system copied to death and a wheel added to it yet you call that game innovative.
GW2 already have quest hubs but is called ¨heart hub¨. Cant wait for MoP, i hate WoW with all my heart, but i cant wait to see how MoP will take more than a Half of the GW2 active population.
I would rather have something like the Rifts ( or WAR ) in..uhh.. Rift but better and on top of a quest hub system. Not really feeling the whole heart thing in GW2.
I'm confused why they would copy it in the first place. It's not new, it's not fun (to a certain degree) and it becomes repetative and boring. I don't get these dynamic events at all. I view it just like SWTOR quests. I would rather have them spend the 100 million they wasted on interactive questing and put it somewhere useful. Like endgame, armor design's, player housing, crafting, PvP, balancing, spells, etc. I think MMORPG's are going the wrong direction. The RPG part comes from the MMO part. The money does not need to be wasted on quests. If I wanted to sit there and solo quests all day long, I would play RPG's!
I hope Titan doesn't do anything remotely similar to GW2.
But I could be wrong. Maybe there will be some form of "Dynamic Events' in the future. But it won't replace questing. It will just be additional content. That might make it even more fun, if you think about it. Scrap all those escort/ filler DE's and keep the fun/exciting ones.
LOL you actually think people are going for Pandaria? Majority of people I know that plays WoW thinks the Panda thing is a silly idea.
I honestly like GW2's quest system, no running back and forth, just stumble upon a heart and complete the quest and move on (or talk to the heart if you want karma items). I've done most of my leveling by exploring, I didn't sit in a single spot and farm for very long unless I was close to the next level.
I´d rather have interesting quests instead, I don´t care how I get cookie cutter kill/collect X zerg quests into my log, this is complete and utter unnecessary fluff.
Because one day, someone at ArenaNet said "Quest Hubs are bad!
And millions of people said "Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, Ohh Yeeahh!"
Quest hub or no quest hub it doesn't really matter .. It's all about the content and make up of said quest .. Give people something fun and interesting to do and most will not care on the delivery system .
The boring old tat is always going to be boring old tat no matter how it's dressed up
The game is too old and the quest design is too deeply embedded into the system mechanics that they'd probably have to do a complete overhaul of the game.
Now people sharing xp for killing stuff without grouping, finding a way of knowing when multiple people in an area have the same quest and can kill the same enemies for the items, or to rack up the numbers of needed kills on a quest without grouping, that might be a reasonable design goal.
Imo quest hubs arent bad, QUESTS ARE BAD. Yes you heard me, I think quests are bad these days because they are all grab 10 rat tails, kill 40 of that, gather this do that. I'd rather have quests which are hard and not marked on your map or given to you by a npc who could easily have went and done it by himself.
Actually no quests is the better option, sandbox style plz. Make your own quests.

Care to explain?
Sure. Bare in mind this is coming from someone who only got to around level 13 in the beta.
The heart quests were the most boring repetitve MMO quests just with a bar instead of numbers.
I didn't like the DEs because you're forced to play at a certain tempo to complete them, they were just escort, kill, bleh; they were just big zergs that I really didnt enjoy.
Nice one... you make a big statement, and when yopu are asked to defend it, you start with an excuse...
Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)
Originally posted by Grimlock426 Count me as someone who actually thinks WoW's quests by and large are more fun then the GW2 DE's and hearts. Sure back in vanilla WoW it was all collect this and kill that quests, but they've evolved quite a bit since then to where there are many pretty cool and unique quests in WoW. Many more than what I've seen so far in GW2.
Absolutely. The quests were designed better, had better humour and alot of them were varried in the way you do or resolve the quest. GW2 quests are just like any other MMO.
Alot of the they are so cool hype they are getting is because it's hidden behind a heart instead of an exclamation point - as well as you not having to talk to anyone to get/complete the quest.

It's not an excuse, he's framing the setting for his opinion.

I guess you didn't play D3.
Blizzard doesn't have a clue what they are doing anymore.
I can't see removing quest hubs being too hard to implement, just remove quests givers and make it so the you automatically get the quests whenever you're close to whatever bandits you need to kill, plants you need to water, or NPCs you need to escort.
TADA! Dynamics events.
You're confusing hearts with dynamic events. They aren't the same thing.

I don't prefer one game's questing to another. GW2 questing system is already similar to WoW's so I doubt WoW would copy much.

lol, OP you act as if the ball is in Anets court...
GW2 hasnt even been out a month, who's to say the game wont be a ghost town 2 months from now?
Blizzard may use some ideas from Anet, just like any other company would..
its common practice.
I went out on a limb and guessed "never"
