Where'd you get the card?

Asking because they discontinued AGP production on X850's already. I'm assuming they just have some sitting on shelves still from backstock.

Btw in your sig it says "Platnium Edition" instead of "Platinum Edition."

x1000 series isn't that great. Saw an article (Might of even been posted here) that showed it on par with the 7800s.

actually the x1800xt is above the geforce7800 in 3dmark05 but most games its about the same as the 7800.

by the way..

i used to have 256mb ram and a radeon 7000 32mb

i just got my comp today with 3gigs of ram and a geforce 7800 gtx

A lot of people are saying that the X1000 series is equal to, or only insignificantly better than the 7800. ATI's struggling.

A lot of people are really hoping that their rumored 32 pipeline card is less rumor and more fact. Frankly, I'm hoping so too

Yeah, but benchmarks don't mean anything if the card can't perform in games. The cards are about the same, point is though, everyone was saying the X1000 series was going to KILL the 7800.

I'll be upgrading when the X1800 comes out and the drivers are stable. I never buy brand new because it always takes ATI like a month or two to have decent drivers. Last time I bought brand new I couldn't beta test any of the games I was playing because the drivers weren't supported. So I had to just wait.

Once I upgrade I'll have the X1800 XT (Probably Platinum Edition.) 2 GB RAM, 3.6 GHZ CPU.

I keep hearing rumors about the Pentium 5 coming out soon. anyone heard anything about that?
